When they start selling things that offer an advantage or if they ever sell max light gear/guns, etc.
If it stays purely cosmetic, it's fine. Even if they sell armor and it's level 3, that's totally fine. That's all just for looks and doesn't have any effect on the actual game.

And at which point you will be in my shoes while some idiot with money falling out his ass tells you that you don't have to but it as it's all obtainable in game. What odds does it make. Either way there is something you can't obtain unless you pay.
