Tell your ISP you don't fileswap and its just a video game.
You'll notice if looking at live logs, your ISP throttles traffic on the upstream after 10mins or so...they think your are doing some illegal Napster junk or something.

As @iVandal_TheFirst @NunyaBeesWax says, they deny this. However I'm going to see if there is a way that I can test and verify this. Perhaps create and build a VPN session to a machine (rather than a proxy) and see if we still face these type of issues. The danger is that at a certain moment Bungie's banhammer might suspect that we mess deliberately with our traffic to get favors, while all we try to do is stay connected.

I think this is precisely why changing DNS works for some people...for a while.

I'm using the Google DNS servers at home. No luck :-)

They deny any form of throttling or traffic shaping whatsoever. Also, sometime I can play for several hours without any issues.

Beats me. I spent months trying to figure this junk out...if I completely stay out of pvp, all is well. I don't know, at this point ...I don't care. Bungie has Billions...I don't. Bungie is the ONLY entity that can fix this. Instead of wasting time and resources on bungies problem, I'm just gonna play games that work. Sorry Bungie, but you need to fix this stuff. All of it.
