Because it restricts my options, whereas if they gave us elemental primaries, you literally DO NOT have to use them if you don't want to. Providing MORE options does no harm, but providing less options forecloses other people's opportunities for enjoyment. Therefore, they should just allow for elemental primary infusion as a compromise position. Those who don't want them don't have to use them. Those who want them can. NO harm done to either side of the argument.

  • It does when everyone uses that one gun for one specific thing ie year one vox black hammer gally on solar burn with out it, it creates weapon diversity and I get enough special and heavy it doesn't matter

  • Also, you failed to explain how someone ELSE'S weapon choice harms YOU when you CHOOSE to use a kinetic weapon?

  • Only an idiot thinks less options = more diversity. If ONLY a few weapons have elemental primary burns on them as it was in Y1, then technically, you are correct, there is less weapon diversity. HOWEVER, if ALL primaries are kinetic damage and we then have the option to use elemental burn cores on all kinetic damage weapons, we can effectively create 3x as much diversity as exists even with only kinetic primary weapons. You can have Hung Jury in all 3 flavors if that is your favorite gun. You can have a Judith D in solar Burn, Arc, etc. You can have Hawksaw in any flavor you like or all 3 if you choose. Combinations are only limited by your desire. You cannot with a straight face argue that having the option to infuse kinetic weapons with elemental cores would lead to LESS weapon diversity. Everyone has their own favorite kinetic damage weapons right now and they all vary in perks. Giving elemental burns to those weapons not only provides them the incentive to change their primary weapon now and then, but it also creates even FURTHER diversity within the same archetype of weapon. Sure, everyone may have a vendor Hung Jury, but now they come in all 3 (technically 4 if you count kinetic) flavors.
