Sorry, no...British English has almost no use for "z". Your links are to US dictionary sites. It's also 100% "for emphasis" even in the US. Nobody says "for emphasize/emphasise". (My iPhone is drawing a red line under "emphasize"!)

    yes...but that is because in "for emphasis" it is still a noun. As it turns out the z and s spelling have coexisted in England for more than 150 years in the British dictionaries.
