The difference is a Sniper sitting in the back does nothing for your team in Control or other objective game modes. They might come out with maybe 10 kills and get a high k/d, but their score will be low. Therfore their contribution will be low as well. It's easy to win against a team with snipers like that as long as your dumbass teamates don't keep running into their sights like idiots.
You should worry more about aggressive snipers who are putting themselves in danger but can be extremely deadly if they're good.
Lastly, snipers are the same as they've always been. So if they're so amazing and a crutch, why haven't they been all anyone uses since day 1?

Because everything else was nerfed, leaving snipers as the only viable secondary. That's what OP stated in his post.

Okay, so nerfing snipers then accomplishes what other than making the next weapon OP so that people can bitch about that?

Edited by Art Vandelay: 12/21/2015 4:46:04 PMDid you even read my post? No where in there I was bitching No where in there did I say snipers needed a nerf

Did I say you did? No, I did not. This particular response was to ToastyBoat. Not you. Maybe you should read.

I see two things happening; 1 nerfing body shot damage so you can't one shot, switch to ANY primary to finish 2 buff back running speed with shotgun, add more SPREAD, and bring back fusion stability a little. Either of these will make the sniper less of an "every situation" gun.

Way to defend your sniping. But they will get nerfed just like pulse rifles. I defended pulse rifles only to be pissed when they were needed. This game is irritating
