Good advice; If you can afford it, buy it.
If you can afford 2, or 3, then buy one for each character.
Definitely worth it.
I've had one since the first time Xur sold it, and its always the main thing I swap between characters for doing high level stuff, so I bought 2 more today.

I have 2 now first one is my baby from the beginning, this new one is for my other characters to share. I had to choose between 2 IBs and 1 IB and an obsidian mind for my lock I chose the latter because that helm is nasty good
