That's because it's the best PvP Auto Rifle. And it's an auto rifle.

It's a ridiculous auto rifle, it shouldn't have bonus critical and that apparently "slow" rof, it's like a sniper. Practically impossible to miss. Auto rifles have wayyyyy too much range, even Bungie said it.

I also am under that allegation sometimes. Mostly because Destiny's maps are practically all CQC. Also, everyone and their mother has it due to the fact Xur loves to sell it. So you gotta deal with it.
