& people that are interested in Destiny's story but have no interest in mobile FPS games would complain if Rising was canon.

Most people don't want to go outside of the primary mode that they use to engage with a particular piece of art. The vast majority of Destiny fans engage with it by playing Destiny, & don't want to have to go to a website (D1 lore) or download & play another game on their phone to flesh out the story.

I wasn't impartial to the lore from D1 being an out-of-game read. It was style choice that they realized was better to have access to in game. But many serious players use DIM and other outside apps/websites to enhance their play in Destiny. And it's a huge stretch to say everyone who plays Destiny doesn't have a phone. Destiny at launch was a game that tried to be a MMO on console. It stood out for doing that. It pushed players to socialize and make friends to conquer raids and go flawless. Now we see a new Destiny game that is taking the approach to mobile. It is different, yet somehow it looks like they accomplished a big feat to bring the gameplay of Destiny to be on the go whenever and wherever. But my argument was about it being not canon to Destiny, when making it canon would have been a better sell. Destiny is not the first game franchise to switch platforms, and who knows, they could always port it to console and PC later. I just feel like a proper Destiny prequel that is canon to lore and the current timeline would be incredible and something many people wanted

You took one sentence, completely out of context to my point, just to sound like you won the conversation and proved me wrong. Did I ever imply that? No. Wrong use of extrapolating information. Uno reverse, if it doesn't revolve around me, then it also doesn't revolve around you. Your sense of "majority that feel like I do" is as fictional a number as mine is. Only difference is, statistics would prove my perspective is more viable based on other scenarios. I don't see any defense for your position, especially when you fail to comprehend what this topic was about in the first place

My post was an opinion. Your first response was a disagreement based on your opinion (albeit you strayed far away from the topic). By definition our conversation was a debate over our points of view. And if you don't care to add anything meaningful to the point of the thread, then I have nothing more to say to you. You sound clueless the longer you misdirect this from what we were talking about

I only post here to have genuine discussions, to get feedback, and hopefully get Bungie's attention on issues. You choosing to engage yet refusing to endulge in what was clearly by definition a debate, because a conversation CAN be a debate, shows that you are troll here, and clearly your opinion doesn't matter that much to you since you avoid debating it in the first place. If you refuse to defend your point, then don't stick around after you made it. I have nothing left to say to you since you don't want to help contribute to the main topic.
