Bungie please understand how unfair this quest step is. It makes everyone camp over the heavy ammo and its taking away from the actual game. Its near impossible for me to even get close to heavy ammo to complete the 10 Power Ammo Kills step in the Saladins Guantlet quest.
-
How many times bungie do we have to cover the same old ground? You. Don't. Listen. In one games' life-cycle, how many times must we retread past; mistakes, misteps, misfortune?
-
Already did for all three characters. Very annoying step but Wardcliff Coil was the answer.
-
It is a little unfair. Being denied heavy because of mercy games or the timer expiring right as you get near it, is a royal pain in the pants.
-
Other players you are aking who get those kills should count towards yours
-
This quest step is completely asinine regardless of the current meta. IB is 6 v. 6 meaning there are 11 other players trying to grab heavy. Even if your team gets heavy, if you’re not the first person to grab it you likely won't get it because the countdown to grab heavy is too short. I know the countdown is to 'prevent uneven matches becoming more uneven'. But it limits completion of the quest. On top of that, with the new mercy rules some matches don't even get to heavy spawn. Yes, even in Freelance. Given the format of IB and the format of crucible in general this quest step should not exist. Speaking personally, I would rather have no heavy in IB rather than having a quest that requires it.
-
The funny thing is last time ppl complained towards the end of the week they auto completed that step and said we wont see steps like these anymore and they understand our frustration. But yet, they bring it right back lmao. This is a perfect example of "we wre listening" but they really arent. And if they are, they dont give 2 offs about none of us
-
power ammo worked well in D1 and should be brought back. two crates spawn at same time once a match with a call out from shaxx or saladin
-
I think not. Not that difficult, but i’m not gonna say “just get better” rather some tips. 1. If people are camping heavy, simply let them get heavy, then kill them, and you will steal their heavy. 2. If you need a weapon choice, black talon, ward cliff, or colony are great choices. 3. Clear the area before attempting to get heavy, make sure no one is near and your teammates can back you up.
-
It’s been ages since i grabbed heavy ammo either im to busy with kills or getting frozen 🤣😭
-
This is the worst quest step next to ability kills. It promotes extremely toxic gameplay. Bad move.
-
I literally just got out a match where the other team were all behemoth titans that camped the heavy the whole match using nothing but igneous hammer the adept version and felwinters and they didn't even use the heavy they just did it to -blam!- with people. This is why I don't think crucible is broken I just think sweaty player are cancerous and they've turned PvP turn into -blam!-ing circle jerk.
-
Bungie, you are just assholes, i cant even get heavy ammo since 10 games. -blam!- you, really!
-
Its seriously frustrating. I have played iron banner almost non stop. I'm almost at legend for my valor rank solely from playing iron banner. And in all that time, literally hours of playing non stop iron banner, and I have only managed to get 5 kills. Not only does everyone camp the ammo but only one person can get it as far as I can tell and it only drops maybe 3 times a match. This quest step is ridiculous. It has honestly made me want to stop playing the game all together because I'm so angry and frustrated by this. I can't stomach more destiny right now.
-
Yea it's not enjoyable solo queuing this kinda trial and error minigame stuff. And I even did the dreaded sword(hilt) kill quest back in the day.. Maybe the matchmaking and sandbox is harsher this time who knows. Still a nuisance to be stuck in the same step for too long. Feels like the match was a complete waste of time unless you got heavy and managed a kill.
-
Shortly Bungie be like "Hey, it's been a year, let's piss them off again with the same thing!" I remember how I hated the quest step last year, cost me tons of nerves to get through it, just to find out later they auto-completed it for everyone. It's actually funny - not the quest, but the fact that I'd actually see the objective again and have to go through that cycle of rage again xD Yeah, I suck in PvP so this is highly unenjoyable, yet I still gotta do it because I wanna get the Iron Truage armor :) Unfortunately, while some people may not agree, the objective is kind of unfair (much like life itself), especially because the game is so packed with content to complete every week and add to it that you have limitted amount of time due to real life duties, so you can't really be as dedicated as some other people who can afford it. It's just my opinion, don't get toxic on me here peeps :)
-
Agreed, it's the worst. Camping power ammo the whole game sucks.
-
So? Challege them, kill them, take the heavy for yourself. You have the entire season to get 10 kills. As long a work towards it the objective is not hard to get.
-
Anyone else remember when people would camp a rocket launcher spawn in halo? Why is it a normal thing for halo that no one would be mad at people doing, but they whine on these forums when it’s destiny? If it’s so bad, just don’t do it then? No one is requiring that you do it, who cares if you do?
-
I did mine with a grenade launcher...took 3 matches at most, and that's without getting the heavy every single time. (I'd forget about it spawning lol)
-
It literally takes less time than the other bounties. I had it done in 5 matches. What’s the fuss?
-
Life isn’t fair....pick it up buttercup
-
how trash lol. if you can’t get heavy that’s all on the lack of skill.
-
Unfair no. Frustrating yes.
-
I wouldn't say unfair but it is a very tedious and frustrating quest step which stops the focus on capping zones. The most frustrating part of all being that we've already been through this with an IB quest last year and I thought Bungie had given us a commitment not to do it again.
-
do you even understand what unfair means. The quest step is exactly the same for everyone, we all have access to the same loot pool and weapons in the game and all play with the same set of rules to get those 10 heavy kills. I don't really like the quest but, nobody can say its not fair lol that's just laughable.

Edited by Double07: 2/25/2021 9:52:29 PMIf you don’t like people camping, then ask for two heavy ammo crates in polar locations.
