They are restricting the level up process with the infusion system, not just the finding the higher level gear system but with the infusion system. Before you answer, think very carefully about what your answer will be.

Well you can do exactly, just dont infuse all your gear today. Stay as a 720 and use the guns you want. You dont have to be 730+ today. Im playing crucible and Gambit as a 705 character. I was still slaying. I had no reason to be max light level because I am doing content that doesnt require high levels. If you really care about Menagerie, then you better level up. And besides, you CANT lose in menagerie. The mode literally gives you guaranteed rewards so long as you reach the boss. Theres your participation trophy. If you care about raids, then you would have tried harder to level up. But seeing as all you do is crucible all day, you have NO reason to level up. Use the guns you want. 700 guns will kill anyone in the same amount of time as a 750.

That EC core exploit only happened for a small window + you had to have a completed pinnacle weapon bounty. The chances of that happening was fairly low for most players. Its even easier to obtain cores now than ever before.

You mean the brother Vance Exploit? I wouldnt consider that as an exploit. They raised his prices. Your output is like 10 enhancement cores for every 100 legendary shards. But hey, go burn 5000 legendary shards and come back to me.
