The whole thing of enhancement cores puts me in a uggh 😒mood. Please please please change this upgrading mechanic for Shadowkeep.

436 RepliesAs far as acquisition, what would you like to see changed? Right now, the following sources are available:
• 3 daily gunsmith bounties (per character) • 2 weekly gunsmith bounties (per character) • Direct purchase from Spider • Enhancement cores when sharding undesired gear at a higher masterwork quality • Finest Matterweave consumables
since the new gunsmith bounties are there, I stockpile at lightspeed, don't see a problem anymore. 5 "free" Cores a day when you buy two from spider and finish those minibounties, how much do you need? You're infusing for every single lightlevel? I would have agreed two weeks ago, now I don't care anymore. Doubles freak me out much more. Last week I got the same weapon three times in a row from powerfull engrams. 30 Minutes later... same thing, different weaponslot. That sucki sucki much more.

2 RepliesEver since drifter ended I started saving cores and doing everything these pro core people suggest. Guess what? I’m stuck using shitty guns I don’t want to use that hinder my performance in any activity. I still firmly believe cores have no place in infusion
-
2 RepliesI will keep repeating myself Players should not be forced to play 3 characters just to earn enough cores to support one character, forcing players to play the other 2 characters just to farm enough cores shows how broken the system is. How can Bungie not see that this system is broken.
The whole thing of enhancement cores puts me in a uggh 😒mood. Please please please change this upgrading mechanic for Shadowkeep.
Not really, poor implementation by bungle is true culprit I’m not even trying and got 180 and some change Masterwork nada, not worth it

Just because Destiny is a different gane doesnt mean you shouldnt have to manage your economy. If you too much of something your supply will run out

2 RepliesEdited by Hazel: 6/12/2019 5:10:26 PMYou should need at most 40 MW cores for a full weapon/armor infusion. You should only need to infuse once before entering the raid. Then probably once more for armor and maybe a couple times for weapons but that can be done after the initial push (when you'll have many weeks of MW core bounties and many hours played). In short, you're definetly spam infusing. I have yet to do any bounty for MW cores, and I only play pvp, and I still get well over 200 cores per season.

These guys also outnumber everyone else. So you're gonna have to ask yourself if you can put up, because you're only other options are to shut up, or stop playing. Edit Love how the only people who are getting triggered by this comment are the same people who blindly and stupidly defend cores. It's all good, keep being triggered, keep drinking that koolaid, and keep being salty.

Tbh I had issues with cores in every doc.... Until this one. I'm not powering anything up, just storing it in the vault. It's raising my powerful drops though, and then I'll power things up when its a significant boost. Its actually super easy to stockpile them until then. If youre powering things up constantly, don't. Just let it ride and power up later. No reason to rush the power cap on your gear, actually slows you down.

4 Repliesdont infuse till you hit max. works great until you wanna do endgame. then you have crap looking gear in a game where you are encouraged to build YOUR character as a personification of yourself. i have 51 cores right now. im not trying to run down to 15 cores, 20 light below max(where id need another 30 to max everything else out to be able to use all my loadouts), infusing armor as i go along every 5-10 levels just so i can enjoy what i paid for. no, that is not playing the game. that is time spent playing it being artificially increased by doing CHORES. I have enough chores in real life and a job. i don't need it in a game where i go to escape the monotony of real life.

Cores make infusing feel like you earned it.
JK, cores suck
-
Cores have been no big deal, always have enough trickle in for me to infuse what I needed . Cores always come more when there is a level increase. Some people are so gun -blam!- and can’t wait so that’s when cores become a problem. Cores make no difference to how I want to play the game .
-
If you actually play the game instead of complaining about it, you’d know cores drop way more than needed. Try that out.
-
I hope they add more consumables requires to infuse in ShadowKeep
-
13 RepliesI have 200 cores... if anything materials bother me more than cores. You guys are doing something wrong
-
You can easily acquire 4 per day with minimal effort for Banshee's bounties and 10 legendary shards for Spider. That's enough for two legendaries or an exotic and one leftover. Just play the game.

8 RepliesEdited by PilksUK: 6/10/2019 8:15:06 AMIgnore all the fanboys saying core's are ok or you can spend hours doing XYZ and be swimming in cores.... A good resource system is one that doesn't get in the way of what the player wants to do! resources should build up from just playing the game the player shouldn't have to jump through hoops just to infuse...and it shouldn't feel like a punishment or chore.... If the player is required/forced to play the game a certain way or they get punished then the system is broken. I refuse to infuse until I hit the cap and should be swimming in cores according to these fanboys... I'm 720 now haven't infused a single item since I hit 700 last cap increase and Im sitting on 56 cores from just playing the game and not jumping through hoops or doing a chore list so yeah RNG for a required resource is a broken system.

17 RepliesEdited by TheShadow-cali: 6/10/2019 4:22:43 PMI don't care what anyone says, if you're a new gamer or came back after not playing for a few months, the cores are a problem. The game was meant for us to infuse items, not spend a lot of the time playing this game grinding for them and "holding on to them for something special". That's flawed logic knowing most of the gear in this game is not being used. D1 I never had this issue and that is because (Motes of light) that has a multi-purpose. Not everyone plays 24-7 and Bungie wasn't overpricing things like buying from Spider that doubles every time you buy 1. So when gamers say " I have plenty of them" it only shows there really isn't anything to use them on and that is an issue because in D1 I had plenty of gear worth using and Motes of light to use them on that gear. The loot system in this game needs an overhaul because 90% of the gear in this game isn't really being used, and cores should be removed from the infusion and leave them as they were originally created for and that is to masterwork. I mean gamers went from always every year leveling up all 3 characters in D1 to where more are only leveling up 2 the most if not just one.

This is simply an issue people are going to have to get over for this season. I have no doubt cores are donzo in the fall. No way Bungie is going to push New Light and this new vision of a bigger and more cohesive Destiny community with a lot of this worthless grind we have right now. Bungie has no boogie man to fall back on this September. Just as much as casuals couldn't fully support Destiny, neither can the hardcore group. I have no doubt that is why so much change is coming to try and include more people again. You need both groups of people for a healthy game and Destiny has been far from that since the first couple of months into Forsaken. Cores are here for SoO. Get over it and hope the future is brighter.

4 RepliesTbh I’m running out of glimmer faster than cores. I’m fine with looking like a mess for a week to grind level.

Bungie: We hear your feedback. But most imporrantly, f**k you.

In what way, exactly?
The whole thing of enhancement cores puts me in a uggh 😒mood. Please please please change this upgrading mechanic for Shadowkeep.
Not really.

I don’t really have a problem finding cores. There’s loads of ways to get them now....but what still kind of irks me, is that I have to spend cores, to infuse a gun that has a lvl 1 masterwork on it -.-.... Like, it doesn’t cost cores to masterwork a gun until lvl 3, so it shouldn’t cost cores to infuse unless it’s a lvl 3 or higher. But maybe that’s just me that feels this way 😂
