Nah numbers wise it's doing better than it has in quite some time.
Which is unfortunate.
I really want this game to die.
Not because I hate destiny.
But it needs to get rebuilt from the ground up.
Yeah random rolls are great, yeah a higher exotic drop rate would be wonderful.
But stuff like that isn't what's really plaguing not just destiny 2, but this entire franchise.
And frankly the community is blinded by the little things to notice

World of Warcraft is doing way better . but hey come Feb Anthem will lay waste to it

...nothing you said is correct lol. I don’t know if you are just going off what you believe is happening, but their numbers were released and everything is down significantly right now. Player base is down by almost 50% since September. Like I said in the post, their sales are down 63% from this time last year. The game is actually in a good playable state right now, but everyone is just having trouble with the desire to want to play it.
-
I was going off of destiny tracker numbers. If those are reliable, then this gam is far from on its last leg And you did not address anything else I said
-
You know they only have 1.8 million active players right now? For this style of game that is AWFUL! At its peak it had around 8.5 million active players. In September they hit 4 million active. Why do you think Activision said they are pretty disappointed with the state of the game right now.

I'd say the active player count is closer to 1.2mil than it is to 1.8

Hell Destiny 1 has the same amount of players right now as Destiny 2! It’s crazy this guy is arguing Destiny 2 has had better numbers when everyone knows how D1 had PHENOMENAL numbers.
-
Lol thank you!!! I knew I was overestimating, but you just helped me out so I appreciate it. Now please explain that to this guy that refuses to admit he is wrong lol.
-
Comparatively that's much better than D1.
-
WHAT?!?! D1 had 10 million daily users!!! Where are you getting this information. Just please stop. You keep just saying stuff that doesn’t make any sense. Did you not play D1 at all? That’s why Destiny 2 is considered a failure overall because they never reached D1 user numbers.

Edited by draycole: 12/26/2018 1:39:35 AMAnd this is from. The taken king. Which had more downloads than D1s launch but never made it past 5.5million. A 5.5 million that quickly dropped off Again pretty sure 10 million you pulled out of the hat https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/3x64nq/is_70_of_the_destiny_population_gone/

Edited by draycole: 12/26/2018 1:35:29 AMIdk where you got 10 million daily users from sounds made up to me. https://www.bungie.net/ga/Forums/Post/189670400 This was an interesting post, for what it's worth https://mobile.twitter.com/destinytrack/status/864164475951362048?lang=en Tweet from. Destiny tracker Numbers are from January 30th of 2017 to May. Never goes past 2 million and that's during the age of triumph update. At January, which was about 5 months after rise of iron numbers barely broke 1 mil. Destiny 2 isn't considered anymore of a failure than D1 was. Except by the d1 fanboys on this forum. You spend too much time here you'll think this is all there is

Also did you just read that article or did you just read the beginning? Because it was talking about how good Destiny 1’s numbers are. Also, you know registered accounts isn’t player base don’t you? Registered accounts is how many people bought the game and made an account. Daily users is the number that tells if a game is sustainable.
-
Did you read it? Whether or not the article is giving praise isn't the point. We're talking about numbers. And yeah age of triumph was in August. Even at is peak on day of release, age of triumph had less players than D2 y2 4 months after forsaken.
-
....I know it had less. I’ve literally been making that argument. Do you remember what side of the argument you were on lol? I think you’ve gotten yourself confused looking for articles that have supported my argument and made yours more and more shallow.
-
But they're not supporting your accusations of 10 million active players at any point in time. D1 had very similar player numbers at this point in its life(1 year after release). I don't think you've actually read anything I've linked.
-
I’m honestly done talking to you about this. I’ve read everything you’ve posted and it supports everything I’ve said. You understand you’re arguing that Destiny 2 was more popular then D1 and every thing you’ve sent me has said the otherwise.
-
...D1 has the same numbers as D2 in this moment in time!! Just please stop. You are just the type of person that will argue no matter what! You’re wrong get over it!
-
.....ummmm age of triumph was in August. Please go away now. I just can’t with you.
-
siiiiggghhhh 😒 Gimme a minute. I'll get the numbers. Had this argument before.
