What most heavy weapon uses do is attack when you get close and roll away when about to run out of stamina. Basically if I try to hit them I get hit much harder.

But if you're inside my range, and I'm using... idk... a straight sword, katana, rapier, curved blade, basically anything that swings a bit faster, I can knock you out of your animation before your HA kicks in. Fact. There's no HA on the "wind up". It's part of why heavy weapon users get stunlocked by rats and die. They can't get a swing off, because the rats break the animation.

Ok then. For the dual katanas I don't feel like failing at storytelling would you open up with an r1 or l1? I might try to change my play style a bit because I was misinformed on hyper armor so sorry

I would switch to the Gotthard Twinswords ;) Jk kinda... Gottard Swords just really remind me of the rakuyo is all... I never went deep on Onikiri and Ubadachi (spelling?). The one time I did, I got the R1, R1, they roll away from me, I L2 for the jumpy attack, and follow up with a final GG R1. After that, I put em in storage until I can dump more points into dex.

I'm doing a bleed build so do you think gatthard twinswords would work well for that?
-
Bleed Build=Luck Build?

Edited by YoYo: 5/3/2016 7:56:27 PMYeah. My stats are gonna be 27 vigor 39 endurance (I might dump 9 points into something else. Staying at 120) 30 strength 30 dex 40 luck. I started with knight if that matters to you.

I think starting class only matters 1)if you have a hard time in the beginning 2)if you plan to respec. Stat distribution stuff... Might be able to drop some str depending on where the build actually winds up. Personally, I have not even looked into Luck builds that much. But! My buddy swears by the Corvian Scythe with a Hollow infusion. But like I said... I've never messed with it personally. There's a straight sword that scales with luck too... but I forget how to get it =/ I don't think it bleeds either. Sry man.... You can probably do better than Gotthard Swords for a bleed build. For sure.

Ok I'll try those. I'm upgrading the corvian great scythe too so hopefully that'll be fun and fix my issue with having no range

Just wanna make sure you didn't misread. Skip the twinswords for now. They might be ok with Carthus Rouge or whatever that consumable is, but you probably don't wanna rely on that. Might be worth the science after you get your go-to weapons and stuff all set up.

Yeah. I got the katanas to plus 9 so I'm open to experiment. Leveling is just a matter of time
