Oh man.... I'd yell at some people. 1st I'd go have a long conversation with the Speaker and get some answers... and if I'm not satisfied he's getting tossed off the tower. 2nd I'm getting some answers from my ghost. "What do you mean you were looking for me for a long time. That means you had some Idea who I was, or who I would become... start talking. I want my memory back". 3rd I'd go teabag Prince Aldren 4th I'd go hold a gun to the Cryptarch's head and force him to give up all of the Legendary and Exotic engrams he gypt us on. 5th Dance Party 6th I'd go explore the traveller 7th I'd go take back earth... seriously how have we not done that yet? We are both legion and dominant. 8th why aren't we trying to get our memories back? And why aren't we looking into what happened during the fall, the traveller, the darkness, and Rasputin... these are important things... like GI Joe taught me "Knowing Is Half The Battle". 9th start diplomatic talks with the Fallen and Cabal, and capture some Vex and Hive to do some science. Is there a bio weapon we could use to kill the worm symbiotes? Can we duplicate the Vex time travel tech? 10th Robot Sex.
1: Fair point. You can't just tell us that you COULD tell us stories about what's going on, and then not tell us. 2: Your ghost pretty much admits he doesn't know anymore than you do. 3: -blam!- that douchebag. 4: -blam!- that douchebag. 5: I'm down for that. 6: I do wonder if anyone in game has tried. It's not like the Traveler can stop you. 7: Game play and story segregation. There may be millions of people playing, but the number of actual guardians is much smaller. We don't know the actual number, but it may not be enough to outright force the opposition off-world. We also know that the number of ghosts, and thus guardians, is limited. The number of guardians is rising everyday, as ghosts find their charges, but every ghost lost is lost for good. The Traveler is not creating replacements. The Vanguard may not wish to risk their limited resources on such a massive operation with little actual gain. 8: We are soldiers. Our job is to fight the darkness. Investigating all these things is left to the researchers. And people are actually investigating in the background. The Vanguard has been actively attempting to find Rasputin for years, before you discover his presence. Afterwards, they keep attempting to open communications, only to be rebuffed each time. 9: Previous attempts at diplomacy have failed. The Fallen are on what amounts to a holy crusade against humanity, and the Cabal are only really interested in conquest. Maybe in the future, when things get more desperate, they will be more likely to consider cooperation. Previous attempts at studying the Vex and Hive did not go well. It would also be very difficult to capture an entity that can teleport and time travel or an entity that has to kill constantly to keep from dying, and has a weaponized body for just that purpose. Humanity managed it during their golden age, but I'm not sure they are capable in their current state. And time travel doesn't seem to work quite like we think. It hasn't done the Vex much good. I'm not sure humanity would benefit from the Vex time tech. Not that guardians haven't tried. Some did. Not much came of it. 10: I'm down for that.
