Make it a 3 person. At least this gives people with disabilties/handicaps the ability to be carried.

This still presents the same issue players have been complaining about all night; can't do it solo. The only solution for these people would be for Bungie to simply scrap the mission and make it a common drop in the most mundane activity.
-
The mission is excellent, 100% it should stay. Alternatives to obtaining the exotic class item should be made available for solos.
-
Baloney. If they developed it for two, then they could have developed it for three from the get go.
-
The mission represents balance. Light and dark. 3 would be unbalanced lol.

Edited by GallowsPole: 6/13/2024 4:52:26 PMYou got me there. They totally couldn’t have come up with a new concept to have 3 players while developing a mission. I thought they were good?
-
How many missions and dungeons have they done as 3 player , how many as two?
-
Two kind of defeats the whole argument of Destiny being a MMO then doesn’t it. And I mean outside the text book definition of MMO. Now, the 12 man Excision mission was a new thing and awesome. What a rpg mmo should be like ( Lukey did mention that by the way). But hey, their company. If they like alienating the vast majority of players, be my guest.
-
It’s never really been a true MMO. 12 man bit was cool but hardly challenging.
-
The issue is it was designed by people who no clue what it's like playing alone or having disabilities, & I fully understand you can't design the game around those people but you can put the loot in the right places. Incision should have dropped 1, like the poster said make it an rng drop in there after to protect future players bcoz when the game dies off in a few months new players are never gonna get 12 to match with. Put cosmology in the new mission, put the class item in the weekly co op story so people don't feel overwhelmed, can be carried, people can do carrys, etc etc Feels overall like really bad decisions from inexperienced (at life) Devs that could have been easily avoided.
-
So it isn't an issue that the mission can't be run solo, it's the fact that it's a two-person mission. That means all of this "I'm a solo player" bullshit is just that, bullshit. If there was matchmaking no one would've said a damn thing, would they?
-
Yeah, because that would actually be a good thing for player retention? Something gamers don’t think about or care about until Bungie puts out another Lightfall.
-
Okay, so we've pinpointed the issue, people are too lazy to find one other player but if Bungie simply gave them two players this would've never even been a problem.
-
Correct. We’re too lazy. We can’t use LFG, too lazy. We want matchmaking? Too lazy. I can’t see your nose from that high horse your perched upon.
-
Well, it sure as shooting seems that way to me. Dungeons, "we want matchmaking!" Raids, "we want matchmaking!" An Exotic mission the requires two people? "Hell no, I'm a solo player!" And then you tell me that matchmaking for the mission would be a good thing. Why the turnaround at the sound of that?
-
Edited by GallowsPole: 6/13/2024 10:46:19 AMI’m 100% for matchmaking everything but grand masters or raids. Everything else can be easily done with matchmaking, including this. The important thing is comms. Have that, and you can do everything. Sorry forgot. Gamers don’t like to use comms. They must be lazy.
