As a newer player, my earliest untrusting moment was when Bungie convinced me too spend a crapload of time to make my SPECIAL NEW TO-BE-FIRST-ARMOUR 2.0 be masterworked and glowing. Next season comes around and we all realised that the stats on our amazing new armour were so terrible that they were INSTANTLY worthless.
That was the first time I felt these guys were sitting back watching me like I was a mouse on a treadmill.
Yes, I still stuck around and last season worked hard for some long-time desires … Mountaintop and Redrix Broadsword. These won't be able to be infused soon … great, thanks.
I also am paid up until the end of NEXT season. I can't see myself lasting longer than that unless I feel some form of virtual love.

That was pretty bad. Even for veteran players that was a surprisingly insulting reward for our time investment, especially after the shitshow the unlock steps turned out to be.
