Except we can't all enjoy these events because Sparrow Racing rewards are paywalled.

You can still do the event in all its glory! Just a couple of add ons for a small fee that have no bearing on the races

Nope- you need to buy the record book in order to a bunch of quests that are only unlocked after you buy the book with silver

No, you need to buy a record book to supplement the challenges with more challenges to unlock a couple pieces of cosmetic gear, if that's your bag.

Dude, the book is not "purely cosmetic"...it grants additional rewards and quests/challenges that offer more rewards

Yes but the actual racing is the Same whether you buy the book or not. Gameplay wise it's exactly the same

That's not the point. To argue that something is "purely cosmetic" means that it doesn't give you, as the purchaser, any type of advantage towards extra or additional rewards. In this case, the book is not "purely cosmetic" in any way shape or form.
