Wow, brother. Good on you. Yeah, it's easy to get lost in a virtual world, where your problems can be forgotten.
But I applaud you for taking your life back.
I think the longer you can stay away from gaming, the easier it is to forget about it.
Like when a tv show goes off for the summer. A person will watch or do something else. When it's back in the fall, by then you've moved on and have gotten into a new routine, so a person may ask themselves if it's worth even starting back up again in the fall.
Maybe once you have a new routine and that routine becomes rooted in your life, you'll have little trouble ignoring games.
May help not staying on this forum for a while. Last thing you need is to read posts about what you're not playing anymore.
