Daybreak is the active modifier in Mayhem and Classic Gambit round 3.
Just think of it, Mayhem for PvE players!
I believe this could revive the Reckoning and no mechanics would need changed!
The Reckoning is a very difficult activity for new players, but I still want it to be a challenge.
Keeping it difficult without being impossible for new players, would be a massive change that everyone would enjoy!
With this modifier we would no longer be forced to use what was once the OP combo, we’d be able to use whatever character we choose.
This modifier would take the place of the third set of rotating modifiers, Brawler, Grenadier and Heavyweight.
Daybreak is a modifier in Destiny 1 Nightfalls not a Super.

Considering the loot from reckoning is only useful for Gambit, I think you're gonna have to try a little harder than giving us tons of supers to make it fun or worth doing. I skipped that part of the game entirely and quick supers aren't getting me to go back lol.
-
I would like to see this modifier added to nightfalls, strikes, story missions, and other end game activities again.
-
But more importantly when will we address how OP blade barrage is in mayhem?

Изменено (Bull Bulkowski): 7/14/2019 10:00:51 PMBungie killed reckoning. I hope they have plans to fix it since the exotic nerf that they did. Right now I cant even get a game in without failing. Teams most of the time do not have the right classes loaded in.

Изменено (Talonia_): 7/14/2019 9:55:17 AMTitans don’t need your pity. We have knockout a permanent brawler
-
The way you formatted this is so annoying. I don't want this by virtue of you making the douchiest post ever.
-
Изменено (Knightlight): 7/14/2019 1:09:29 PMDawnblade is a subclass. Daybreak is the name of the super.
-
Dawnblade is a warlock super, Daybreak is a modifier introduce in RoI Destiny 1
-
Is brawler even a positive modifier? Like really, unless you're going for a super specific build, why would you ever melee anything as your primary method of damage/killing?
-
Reviving Reckoning with daybreak is weak. If you relied on your super before the nerfs, to get you across that bridge, bruh... It is still possible to get across Heres how TEAMWORK! tether, still tethers gold platforms. Well with phoenix still caps point. Surprisingly, you both get your supers back before the next point, (weird right?) The other 2 guardians can do what they like Nova bomb for anti stomp mechanics (turns out if actually do something about the big boy mcguffins, they DON'T stomp!) And blade barrage, whack-a-thrall, ticklefingers, arc-maul, striker, captain America, dawnblade, can all do add clear... Turns out getting orbs from your buddies also gives your super back... Stop asking for a crutch and adapt.. Im still after my spare rations with rapid hit multi killclip, Daybreak would not entice the playerbase back, allowing players to choose the loot they get would though. Tired of seeing the playerbase complain about how hard Reckoning now is without your crutches, shows how weak and lazy that player is...

They need to bring back things like small arms and the ones with energy weapons too. Those were fun. They should also bring up Heroic strikes to 700 power.
-
I don't see how difficulty would be retained still. If you get still get stomped off from bosses when daybreak, then that's just on the players at that point. The ultras on the bridge should be easily decimated unless everyone coincidentally is just using supers that don't do great in the boss damage department. Daybreak + the super regen exotics would practically be instant supers. Blackout wouldn't be an issue whatsoever cuz nothing would really get close enough without getting demolished aside from the knight bosses but they'd still take chunks of damage. Attrition would be null if at least one person is a well (that's already the case anyway), but decimating everything would mean a lot of restorative light to be able to pick up. Prism would be kinda annoying still so I'll give ya that. Failing to kill the boss when having daybreak on wouldn't be much of a worry (unless they buffed their health or something). I'm fine with idea of Reckoning having daybreak but I don't think it would really retain the difficulty factor imo. I just want the drop rates of the weapons to be a lot higher
-
I actually wouldn't mind putting up with Reckoning if this were a thing.
-
1. The odds of bungie doing anything to reckoning is.000001% 2. It basically is day break, drop orbs to keep getting supers, their should be no shortage of orbs between 4 people.
-
Completely forgot daybreak existed 😂
-
And blackout
-
I endorse this idea. Why make a gamemode around super-returning exotics, then backpedal and remove the exotics without changing the gamemode? That makes no sense.
-
After this stupid triumph for notorious armor is done I'll never touch this stupid game mode ever again.
-
Изменено (Corrick II): 7/13/2019 9:18:58 PMI think instead of being a tedious “challenge” the way it is now, daybreak would make Reckoning actually fun for once. I’ve played Reckoning a total of maybe six times, just to get a full suit of armor. I’ve never gone back because it’s tantamount to Bungie trolling their players with how annoying the game mode is. The mode was obviously designed by someone who thinks a “fun challenge” is willingly beating your head against a brick wall made of ever-spawning enemies and bullet-sponge bosses all for the sake of a 1% chance a weapon might drop. Adding a modifier like Daybreak would go a long way to resurrecting this dead activity and giving players the opportunity to feel powerful. Leave the reward drop rates where they are, whatever, just give us the chance to have some fun like we did in D1 Nightfalls toward the end. As for the tryhards... why does the inclusion of anything like this repel some players. Get over how awesome you think you are at playing a video game and go achieve something real instead of shtting all over someone’s idea.
-
Seeing as a single slip could mean failure even with near infinite supers when Orpheus and Phoenix were powerful in SoD,
-
We need more modifiers in general.
-
Considering they nerfed the super gaining exotics, this will never happen.....
-
-
Reckoning is not difficult... giving literal infinite supers just makes it even easier than it is. The activity isnt the problem, reckoning is fine. The rewards and time investment is the reason people dont play it. There are some decent weapons in there but you cant grind them very well.
-
The Reckoning is a very difficult activity for new players, but I still want it to be a challenge.
How would adding Daybreak retain any challenge?
-
How can Infinite Supers be challenging? Also Daybreak is the name of the Dawnblade super so it's best to use another term.
