These are and have always been the main issues with Destiny. Which seems to be on an increasing arc. All these issues stem from one thing: Destiny is a Looter Shooter.
Bungie and a certain section of the community seems to think Destiny is some sweaty competitive MMO. It’s not. It’s a Looter Shooter. So what has always happened is: Whoops someone had fun with that weapon/armor/game mode. Better nerf it!
These life long issues of the IP wouldn’t be issues if Bungie treated Destiny as it is a gear based Looter Shooter and that certain section of the community stopped acting like Destiny is a competitive game.
It’s about fun. It’s about gear.
Not skill. Not competition.
Fun.
What’s hilarious is 343i are making the same mistakes with Halo right now. Both companies seems to have forgotten their games are about fun. Not a sweaty COD fest.
Please stop listening to the pro gamer streamer bros, Bungie.
Make Games Fun Again!

What are you specifically referring to? Most PVP nerfs haven't affected PVE.

2 RepliesIf they listened to the streamers there would be no sbmm, which is for competitive game modes. You will learn Bungie only listens to Bungie.

Not a sweaty COD fest.[/quote] 343i ruined Halo Infinite from the beginning by implementing a rank system that locks players into a tight range. Many gamers stopped playing ranked after they learned about the implementation. Then 343i killed off more of the population in Season 2 by focusing on LSS/FFA (i.e., Rumble for those reading this post who do not play Halo Infinite). It really makes one wonder how such a bad decision was made considering that Halo is traditionally a team-based game.

In fact Destiny is both a looter shooter AND a mmo. Destiny was the first to mix the two. Other games have since tried to copy this and at best had limited success..... and more than a few failures.
