So if you didn’t know, getaway artist was changed for arc 3.0. Previously it gave us a supercharged arc soul when we ate our grenade, which was honestly pretty handy.
However with arc 3.0, the supercharged arc soul is built into the subclass. Whenever amplified, the normal arc soul turns into the supercharged one. So what does getaway artist do now? It amplifies us and gives us an arc soul for eating our grenade. So it essentially does the same thing now, but the benefit is worsened due to arc 3.0 changes.
Warlocks have no issue getting amplified, it’s extremely easy for us to be amplified all of the time. It’s also very easy to get an arc soul by just placing down a rift with the aspect. Meaning that the only benefit of using getaway artist is that you can get an arc soul even if you don’t run the arc soul aspect. But given our other exotic options, and given you have to eat a grenade to get an arc soul, I think getaway artist should be buffed.
A buff like increased arc soul duration, more arc soul damage, or even two arc souls. All would make it a much more popular and useful exotic in my opinion.

Eat your grenade to turn invisible I mean they are called the getaway artist -
2 RepliesHonestly if arc souls could benefit from mods & perks that activate with grenade kills/hits etc that would be perfect

1 ReplyEdited by Potatomilk: 9/2/2022 9:08:28 PMI think getaway artist should be like an arc version of starfire protocol. It gives an extra grenade charge and gives rift energy (in addition to the grenade energy it regenerates) when an arc soul damages an enemy. You would have 0 downtime on arc soul when doing boss dps and can throw more arc grenades without worrying about your arc soul going away.

It actually does give a longer duration than the base arc soul from the aspect. I think it's like 6-7 second longer. It also makes your arc sould empowered without needing a kill or ionic trace. Plus, amplified on demand is not to be underestimated. It's the only way (as far as I know) to get amplified without requiring you to hit or kill an enemy. Very nice for everyday gameplay and getting around faster

2 RepliesIt makes you ampied ?!?!
-
Nope it’s perfect the way it is. The aspect makes the arc buddy fire faster and it’s the only way to get amped without a kill. You’re wrong but if it gets buffed I won’t complain lol

3 RepliesYeah more damage or double arc souls would be way too OP in pvp. I haven't played with them yet, but I'm assuming they still refund grenade energy when the arc soul gets a kill. It would be cool if all bolts in the arc soul burst hit the target it jolted them, this would greatly add to its add clear potential.

1 ReplyIf it could let Arc Soul count as a Grenade for Grenade-focused perks and mods, such as Elemental Ordinance and Spark of Shock, it would be a great Exotic.

Edited by GANDALF: 9/2/2022 2:15:32 PMI would never take Getaway Artist off, if it made Arc Souls Jolt targets in addition to amplifying the player . . . 👀 I would gladly give up the ability to summon an Arc Soul on demand and run the Arc Soul aspect if that were the case.

5 RepliesMost times for me I have that grenade back in close to 8 seconds with constant wells could be less if I weren’t playing on a team but, agreed. Getaway artist needs a new rework to play more into Arc. Since it’s the grenade your eating to get the soul maybe a 15-20% damage increase.
-
Side note: no class has issue getting amplified, its literally always up if you're building into the arc subclass at all.
-
It would be great if it allowed us a second grenade charge.

Check out my build on my Arc Warlock using Geta Away Artist. It's cracked for PvE.

4 RepliesArc Souls need to jolt enemies when amplified and should get a 40% bump in its damage against PvE enemies

1 ReplyFree amp in pvp. I’m not against buffing it, but I already enjoy it.
