Lag and latency seem to be worse than ever. I keep getting shot through walls. People aren’t taking damage. Melees don’t register, or people lunge so bad and glitch out after because of lag. I love playing control but this season has made me want to give it a rest.

True still this is the new crusible better get use to it

22 RepliesDon’t forgot the population is at a all time low with sbmm - but hey at least the PvE players can get their pinnacle each week without realizing how bad they are at the game

7 RepliesFair points. I would add that all of those issues were in place before the new loose sbmm were in place for control. A lot of posters on here seem to think these issues are because of the loose sbmm for control. They are not in the game because of loose sbmm, just always have been it the game. It’s an online multiplayer game. Do we the players have all of the same internet connections, speeds, and equipment? (No we don’t) One reason why lag might be experienced. How old is the technology running the PvP side of the game? Shooting though walls, or not dealing damage to players, and other such issues. Again, we’re around way before loose sbmm. Maybe Bungie should find actual ways of stopping these things. For myself, control has been a lot of fun, with closer matches. Also I felt like I was making a difference and helping my team. I haven’t experienced much lag. Also wait times to get into matches haven’t been that long. Lastly, it’s been a week with loose sbmm for control. They said it would take time and they would make adjustments over the next couple of season. I would suggest we all give them time to see how it works and develops.

9 RepliesGot more lag with cbmm to be honest
-
1 Reply-blam!- is lagging in strikes, you're just looking for an excuse instead of blaming Bungie's abysmal network management. We've got people teleporting in PvE activities, enemies refilling health out of nowhere, etc. There is no SBMM in strikes, I can guarantee that.
-
41 RepliesUhh no, there's no difference in "lag" with SBMM. Why don't you crutchers give it a rest? This is about your KPD going down. Stop the lying. Control is fine. It's actually fun now!

Edited by Poncho, Kell of Baggins: 8/30/2022 1:23:57 AMThe game mode is absolutely unplayable right now. I have 200k crucible kills. I have never seen it in such a bad state. It has nothing to do an even playing field. Man I honestly thought solo playing was going to better in control this season. But I didn’t anticipate playing people on different continents. Half bar squad lul. Bungie I don’t support people sending you death threats and stuff. But, you guys really go out of your way to put heat on yourselves.

1 ReplyI tried playing again tonight, went against a trials gOd. How is it sbmm matching me against people who have gone flawless 300 times and me who’s gone like 7 times. Seriously wtf bungie

Git gud

Yeah I'm honestly fine with SBMM being back in the game, I don't mind playing other sweaty players. I'm already back in the top 0.6% as of a few games ago, although it flucuates a lot. My only problem is with the obvious amount of lag I'm experiencing (Arc 3.0 isn't exactly helping either). I wish they would just adjust the skill range a tiny amount to give us the opportunity to match with people in closer proximity to us. I don't want a reversion to "C"BMM since connections were still pretty sketchy back then, but that was mostly becauses of people in groups that are far appart matchmaking together.
-
Game is unplayable, getting matched with sweaty kids from Japan.... 😂 Probably due to my kd now shitty SBMM is back. All I want to do is sit back and relax, can't do that anymore !!
-
Bungie also removed the pinnacle reward from the rotator this week forcing us to play sbmm control (or rumble/elim).
-
36 RepliesBut at least I don't encounter 6 stacked D-bag squads anymore farming mercies all day all night. I'll take the bad connections over the horrible matchmaking we had with cbmm "But you need to git gud" I don't NEED to do anything, I prefer playing with similar numbnuts of my caliber Also it's been quite enjoyable personally, yes I have gotten killed a few times right after getting into cover. Yes that sucks. But I'll take that ANY day over cbmm putting me against 3 stacks, 4 stacks, 6 stacks of 5x unbroken sweatlords. Any day. And -blam!- those weebs for farming control all day, go do something better with your time
-
1 ReplyWhat do you guys think happens with skill based prioritization? Rather simple concept lots on the forums fail to realize lol. Rather comical this stupid topic is on a year loop of the same outcome every time. In a couple months you guys will then reeeeee about connections then want that back.
-
Yeah match making has been kinda all over the place. First two games were good games pretty close but after that it went down hill. Joining mid match on a losing team. Match against 4-6 stack teams. Lobbies feel laggier then usual. Can’t really experiment with load outs. Most of the crucible is sweat lord hunters with found verdicts and titans with juggernaut shields. I would consider myself an above average player and it’s not looking to fun in control. When I go sweat I go to comp. Bungie said they want to focus on gunplay but it feels like just more ability spam oh well. I don’t have as much time to play as I used to when I was younger. Only playing on the weekends and matching making kinda punishing you the better you are at the games has killed my hype for the season. I’m not an amazing player or anything but it just feels un fun. Im gonna check out for this season. Back Apex

This is Destiny. Shhh..... Bungie doesn't like to talk about lag issues. Don't even mention how cross play has been a disaster in crucible with their inability to meter the varying hardware people use. SBMM or not it doesn't matter.... crucible will always be a sh$@ show
-
Sbmm is a dumpster fire.
-
You can't have good connections AND fair matches!! What do think this is, 2022?

1 Replyand maybe YOUR connection is part of the problem as most people don't think their internet is sh!t when it is.
-
Pointless playing control for me this season. It’s unplayable.
-
P2p, it will always have lag, but if you want to keep lying about it, you do you boo
-
1 ReplyCbmm is killing pvp, sbmm is killing pvp…… Does it matter? Unfortunately nothing will work with this community no compromises no nothing accept it it will always be hell.
-
6 RepliesAs expected sbmm is a -blam!- show and pvp will die out again
-
Yeah, more lag should be expected when you don’t prioritize connection quality.
-
It's been this way for almost a year now. I stopped playing due to whatever they did with their networking in Beyond Light it has made it awful for me. This was before sbmm mind you, and I mained the mode for the best part of 4 years..
