Instead of freezing , it should also shatter , sort or like a Stasis chain reaction -
Uhm... to be honest, I don't know if would be better to buff it or completely rework it. I suppose that for the Devs a buff would be easier to make and apply, but even buffed I don't think people would use it.

1 ReplyPersonally, I quite like it as a utility weapon. Completely unnecessary right now, but I use it from time to time. Here’s some things that I think would solidify it in its niche: -Greatly increases ammo reserves. Like a lot. This is a utility/support weapon, it should have a decent amount of ammo. -Greatly shorten charge. Hold down trigger primarily for aiming purposes. -Perhaps lower mag size to slightly counterbalance above changes. -Crystals last longer and deal increased damage in a larger radius. (Like double that of a standard glacier nade). -Add to exotic perk: allies gain damage resistance while standing near crystals generated by this weapon. -Catalyst (I know many people want the cycling through grenades thing but I think it really wouldn’t improve its usability too much): Shattering a crystal creates a cloud of Stasis energy that slows targets within and greatly boosts Stasis ability regen for you and allies within (could look and act like a big Duskfield grenade, maybe synergy with Renewals). + Auto Loading Holster. Alternatively for the catalyst: -Allies nearby Stasis crystals generated from this weapon are granted improved efficacy for their abilities, including their supers (increased damage and/or duration). This effect is particularly potent for Stasis abilities. + Explosive Light for flavor. Think like crystals channel spiritual energy sort of vibe. I don’t want Salvations Grip to be some boring powerful gun where you just shoot at enemy and get value. It should be a utility weapon that requires thoughtful placement and has a wide array of uses and should also pair well with Stasis. I think we are getting closer to having builds where heavies don’t need to be your primary DPS in all situations (Starfire nade spam, Titan one two punch shenanigans) so having a few strong support heavies can really shake up the meta I think and start making fireteams really build into roles.

1 ReplyIt's already OP It's the only weapon in the game that can one shot little pyramids

They should just have it fire a big crystal (rather than hold to make it), have the hold button instead emit a detonation blast to shatter it, have left trigger aim but also show the "aim where you want it" icon on the surface Boom problem solved - R2 : big crystal - R2 held : shatter - L2 : aim w/ stasis icon where to put crystal Have catalyst do *drumroll*... hold Square to swap crystal style between stasis nade styles : tracker nade, duskfield nade or big iceberg nade (default as exotic currently does)
-
Give it a catalyst that lets it shatter and/or give it Chain Reaction.
-
Agreed. My Buff: - Stasis Crystals now last longer and are more resistant to Shatter from enemies - Salvations Grip will periodically drop a Stasis Crystal at the users location ( Even if it’s not equipped ) - Catalyst: Autoloading Holster

Salvation grip is a good gun just gated to being a support with a stasis subclass as opposed to a standalone heavy, thats what makes it unique. You kinda have to build around glacier nades and shatter which is very build dependent and most don't have the armor to do so. I have many builds for each class that incorporate salvation but they are shatter and more so defensive than offensive which is what stasis has been relegated to. To use salvation you have to treat it as a disruption tool more so than a heavy.

Honestly what a pointless -blam!- weapon. It's literally just to progress a quest and do a handful of incredibly niche jumps.
-
Unlike black spindle, salvations grip should be a special.

2 RepliesMy thought: - Increase max Crystal spawn size - Increase charge rate - Add a catalyst that allows it to either deal more damage to frozen enemies and/or shatter crystals. The goal being to make it useable when not on stasis.

question buff what? what part of that gun can be buffed in any way that seems like a buff its a utility exotic what can be buffed on a utility exotic?

1 ReplyIsn’t that the gun I used to get the lament sword. I honestly don’t remember
