The playerbase waxes and wanes. But a lot of folks burn themselves out by grinding relentlessly for what are meant to be longer term goals. That or, y'know, they've been playing for years. Everyone needs a break at some point. I know I have.

A remarkably milquetoast take

All due respect but I've been around for pretty much the entirety of Destinys existence, yours is a far from unique take and yet here we are. Destinys still truckin. People burn out and leave, people come back. Its been the reality of the franchise for the best part of a decade now lol. We're certainly nowhere near the Curse of Osiris era alarm bells, thats for sure.

Ponderous why you’d even assume I thought the take was unique, as I sure as hell didn’t. I thought the take was correct. Your first response though was kind of just… pointing at a cat and calling it a cat.

Your take is soaked in rose tinted specs tbh. TTK is painfully rudimentary next to what we get nowadays, not to mention the great content drought. You are overthinking simple burnout. Welcome to the normality of continuous games - people, and clans fall off, whilst others take off. In any case, theres not much to be said that could make your original post any less redundant. I might be calling a cat a cat, but you were hand-wringing over it to begin with 🤷♂️
