The lockout wipe is too much dude, other than that it's a solid idea.

I say yes to the idea, I think the locked out for a whole week is extensive... But maybe locked out for a few hours or even the day would be better. It would require flawless execution. Not to mention clear communication and the best weapons.

Better idea for all the fights. [b]Confluxes:[/b] All Hobgoblins and Minotaurs are majors. Harpies spawned during the Legion phases have Arc shields. [b]Oracles:[/b] Same rules for Confluxes. [b]Templar:[/b] Harpies are all now Majors. (Them all having shields would be far too overwhelming) [b]Ritual of Negation:[/b] Anyone not within a certain distance from Templar is instantly killed. Set the range as the distance from his spawn by his back door to just past the edge of his platform going toward the respawn precipice. This would prevent any camping up there during the Conflux or Oracle segments. [b]THIS SHOULD BE HOW IS AS OF NOW TO PREVENT ANY CHEESING.[/b] [b]Gorgons:[/b] Keep as is. Its bad enough when one person gets derpy as it is. No need to make it harder. [b]Gatekeeper:[/b] Basically the same, maybe add a shield into the Gatekeepers. Minotaurs spawning on the steps after a relic is spawned should be Majors. [b]Atheon:[/b] All Supplicants spawn with a shield. Make all shields be random upon mob spawn for variety. Time's Vengence instantly refills your super gauge once per application, not every 2 or 3 seconds. This will remove grouping in the relic bubble for your dps, and force you to try to DPS Atheon while trying to survive any Supplicants you haven't been able to kill before the portal team returns. [b]Notes:[/b] In this instance, Hobgoblins should never go into their little protective state upon taling damage. This will prevent cancellation of snipes or grenade lobs. Since this is a Nightfall, allow revives and remove the raid lock upon return to orbit. Atheon is buggy as it is, no need to get boned out of a raid lock due to something out of the players' control. The lock will prevent any sort of learning for this difficulty setting. Even at the height of WoW's unforgivingly difficult raid era, they weren't that unforgiving. Add a set number of Nightfall attempts if necessary, but not a "one and done" scenario. Maybe 10-20 attempts? Everyone except the most hardcore will stop before all their attempts are used up.

5 RespostasI'm all for it except the harpies with shields. They are a pain to clear out as is. Adding shields will make it impossible to clear out before the portal team makes it out.

1 ResponderNot til they fix the raid bugs, I've seen the best of teams be forced to wipe over and over due to the bugged out atheon fight. Not to mention I assume this will work like hard raid? No revives? So if at any point throughout the raid you lose a player due to Bungie's infamous animal kingdom or fruit stand, what then? You can continue on... Maybe complete the raid... You lose two people this way, which is a very real possibility, "Well, better luck next week guys, that was an hour of my life I won't get back but maybe Bungie won't screw us in the arse next week". If they can fix the bugs in the raid I would be 110% in support of this idea. I spent a collective 2-3 hours killing atheon on two character this week. I had one successful kill, which resulted in me getting another Timebreaker and Hezen Vengeance. Considering the ONLY reason I still bother with Atheon on hard raid is in the hopes of getting a Mythoclast or Warlock helm, this was mildly frustrating.

Presuming since it is a nightfall there is revives then sure.

Only if there is no burn damage. Burn damage makes nightfalls way to easy.
