"No, Roast Beef. But I haven't got it quite right yet."

That's what Willy Wonka had said to Mr. Salt, and while you may not see any correlation to that and the Bungie community, if you would be so kind as to not berate me and label me a troll, I will draw the bridge between to two for you. A long time ago, in a galaxy...that we currently live in, there was a contest. But not just any kind of contest, mind you, but a very important contest. One that One of Seven™ lucky winners could win a tour to the Bungie's HQ via Bags o' Swag. With luck, by purchasing a BoS, you may have found yourself the victim of a golden ticket (which equaled a tour of Bungie). As you can imagine, this created quite the upheaval of our political and social structure as we know it, as people bombed the store with credit cards and scorched the earth with their burning passion to get that golden ticket(s). But what happened next? What happened when you did find yourself one of the winners? Well, that remains to be seen (at least by me). Does anyone happen to know whatever happened to those 6 winners? (If memory serves correct, one was unable to be contacted). I do realize this event is a couple years old, but seeing as this is my 4th year anniversary today (I know, I know. Hold the applause), I got onto Bnet and just sat for a little bit, reflecting on what's happened in the past 4 years (Hint: A LOT) and realized this is sort of an unfinished chapter for me. If anyone would be so kind as to quench me of my burning question, I'd be most relieved as I can get back to doing very meaningless stuff in my life. -Mr. U
Well, I think you may be misremembering here. There was no announcement of the contest beforehand. People wanted the Swag Bags just because they had cool swag. It wasn't until people started opening the bags that anybody found out that there was a "golden ticket" contest. By then, of course, the Swag Bags had sold out, so there was no further opportunity to get them. But yeah, as Spawn noted, the winners had their tour and.... well.... they can't talk about it :-D

Right here scroll down to "One of Seven". Basically, they had their visit in August 2012 and are under a strict NDA. There were unconfirmed tidbits/rumors mentioning them in the audio/capture rooms but I have no idea if anything will be in game or not. They left with an exclusive/rare hoodie along with other unknown swag. But as far as what their entire visit consisted of? Nobody knows. And don't bother asking one if you know who they are.

    • Dammit don't even remind me about the Bags O Swag. -blam!-ing Amazon servers. I still hold a grudge about that.

      • "Last night, the Archangel came down to me in a dream and told me where to find the last golden ticket." "What did he say?" "Oh, what does it matter? It was just a dream." "Shut up and tell me where the ticket is!"
