Hi, and to be honest, bye.
I have had a lot of fun in the Destiny universe. But the game doesn't interest me as it once did. A part of is myself, with my first child almost being here, things have certainly have changed a lot.
But it is also the game. After the light and darkness saga finished then story felt done and the last two "expansions" are not changing that for me. Which is fine.
Also me going more handheld for my gaming needs isn't helping Destiny's case. I am loving my Steam Deck and gaming on lInux as a whole. The fact that I couldn't play Destiny on my Steam Deck made investing into the game feel pointless, how weird that might sound.
Another thing is the gameplay is getting stale for me. I played the final campaign and it felt like a "try this filler content" thing. It was nothing like the Witch Queen campaign which I absolutely adored.
I will be uninstalling Destiny now. I don't think Destiny 2 will recover for me. The whole gameplay feels designed by Commission to me nowadays with a lack of focus. Maybe I am expecting too much. But the story also feels small, repetitive and generic now and specifically that is turning me away from the game.
In any case it's time for me to step away. It feels like a "farewell" and I won't say I'll never return to the Destiny universe (never is a very long time).
It has been a journey these 10 years.

Farewell and may your life be filled with joy that a new child will be born into your house. Its been a journey this game but it's been all the better that you have been here since the beginning. Raise your kid right and goodbye Guardian 🫡
