I would consider myself to be a casual/average player. I have been playing since day 1, I like the open concept of the game, play whichever activity floats your boat. Play solo or with a team, 99% of the time choose solo. I get my bounties and off I go, well all that has changed with the introduction of pathfinder. Only bounties to get are from the gun guy, and whatever planet you go to. I prefer PVE, now pathfinder forces you to play PVP if you want to progress and get rewards. I could live with Pathfinder, I guess, if they made all the steps (anywhere in the system) or (gambit, vanguard, or crucible). This system slows down your progress in the game and makes it very unrewarding. I think Pathfinder, as it sits now, is a terrible idea. Would probably work better if each activity had it's own pathfinder web. Anyway, I think Bungie's laziness has taken away a big chunk of what made this game so good. Who knows, maybe another company can learn from this mistake and capitalize on it with their own offering.

Have you seen how you get the exotic class item yet? the class item Bungie devs highlighted in Vidoc and was a huge selling point for this DLC yeah. As a fellow solo player, I'm feeling the urge to quit this franchise tonight.

Knowing when to quit is important, too. Breaking away from the sunk cost isn't easy.

3 RespostasI always find this argument funny because the game was fairly casual friendly at first, I mena you still had raids and GMs but everyone no matter what skill level was able to things very easily. Until then we had ppl who didn't wanna play a different game other than destiny if they wanted more difficulty so they started to complain and wanted to make the game the way they wanted because once again they just simply couldn't play a different game to feed that desire. I know the same can be said for the other said " well if you wanna play a more caaual friendly game then go somewhere esle" but once again it's the same problem where ppl just don't want to play a different game other than destiny so they're gonna want Destiny to be made the way they want. That's the reason the whole argument of casual friendly or difficult is funny because both sides are the same and they neither win nor lose when all it comes down to is whether or not they have to desire to play a different game to fulfill what they want. At the end of the day if you ask me since I'm a casual all the way through I would simply say I don't care what goes on. Whether they make a raid difficult or a dungeon or anything for casual players then that's fine because I understand I don't need to do any of that to have fun. I raided a fair amount in d1 I'm kinda done with it by now because there's no need to especially with today's sandbox and weapons you can get from anything else. As long as you're having fun then that's fine. Anyways sorry for this comment being long or basically having nothing to do with the OP I'm just wanting to share what I think about the whole "it's not casual friendly or Elite friendly" argument.

I would like to hear from the bugie team on who they are making the game for these days. I'll prolly continue to sit it out. Collecting is ruined by vault space. PVP is unplayable. Gambit has had no updates. Strikes are killed by those strikes that are not strikes. (don't make me say it)

I still recall a twab that said you would no longer be required to do Crucible but it would take longer to complete something. I refuse to play Crucible because I just don't have the reflex to act quickly. Being somewhat color blind doesnt help either. I like exploring and enjoying the environment or just taking out all ads. But, I can't complete seasonal activities or Triumphs because we're still required to run Crucible.

2 RespostasThis old tortoise is exploring and slowly familiarising myself with our new open world, nonstop patrol wunderland… A few things I’d like…would be an optional puzzle solution tab for the many, many puzzles encountered everywhere. 😵💫 Some I’ve figured out after some head scratching…some, still unsure. For example: Paranormal cubes…if it’s red - fire sol weaponry to activate, and arc for blue cubes… Now, I changed my hud to green…and only stasis rounds would activate the red cube - and it took some time to figure that out! Not sure if it’s right or not, though it worked. ✅ Another maddening one was step 5 / Alone I the Darkness: the final fight…lava cave…3x blights and lots of black goo everywhere…and the auto-aim witch firing nonstop - if you peek, and tanky creatures stationed strategically to cover all angles, and auto-aim to boot… I spent a while figuring this one out…shoot the blights from within but be airborne whilst doing it - and they go down fast; once done, drop the creatures from behind that ‘blue! Ledge area, then do the boss. 😎 SMH 🧐 I don’t do raids / dungeons / GMs - not since way back, though I’ve been pootling about long enough to work stuff out…eventually; I wonder how NLs / Returnees cope with all of these ‘puzzles’ (aka ‘endgame mechanics’ in Casual speak?)…🧐 Anyhoo, just a bit of feedback…that might help some fellow Guardian out in the wilds…👈 Ease springs! 🫡

Editado por TarloDenn: 6/12/2024 12:49:21 AMMy biggest problem with Pathfinder is that's it's in the ritual playlist menu, so navigating to it is kinda fiddly. Outside of that, it's fine. I do like that each node will complete before you hit it, so it's not too bad. If your still on the 5 node level, the rest of the nodes will complete so it's jus a matter of connecting the dots. And I haven't been pushed into PvP thank Xol 👍 I don't mind Gambit. I play for the fun of the pew pew explode so winning or losing is neither here not there. And Strikes are like comfort food for me. I do, however, sympathize with folks that detest certain modes. If you're a PvP main & hate Gambit & Strikes, ya get a very rough deal. But, it is what it is so we're jus gonna have to make peace with it.

15 RespostasPlease screen shot and post your instance of Pathfinder offering no way to reward without completing PvP (this is an actual, sincere request). I see these posts frequently ....so much so that it makes one consider there must be something to it.....but I have not found a single example, and I've cleared a lot of Pathfinders. I've asked friends and they've not seen one either. By my count, there are typically 4. Crucible specific nodes out of 20 on any tree.....and they never block the path to reward. That would require 2 Crucible nodes side by side where the tree necks down to 2 spots......or 1 Crucible node on the tree in its final spot. Ive not seen this......maybe you have.....but I'm interested for an example to be put on display. Maybe it is a rarity, I dunno. I don't know if Pathfinder randomly shuffles for each player, individually (like RNG) or if there are set variants for ______ (fill in the blank) amont of time. At this point it seems more likely I'll have a Bigfoot sighting. As a side - I've never ranked up as fast on bounties as I have on Pathfinder. The best result being a jump of 8 (twice now) in a single 30 minute play session (which included vendor rank ups). For me anyway......It has been a sheer pleasure to have this farming boost. The best part is you have the freedom to choose between a super fast b-line path (in as little as 2 -3 Gambit matches as one examoke), or just simply play per usual, come back to check.......you're either finished or fill in a partial blank or two to finish. No fuss in it. How are you viewing / approaching the Pathfinder plot? I'm genuinely curious.

Editado por OurWildebeest: 6/11/2024 7:10:02 PMI used to avoid PvP as much as possible, mainly because I didn't want to deal with other players in any way, if I'm being honest. Doing raids with other players was more than enough. Other than that, I just wanted to shoot monsters in peace. But at some point in D2, I lost connection with the storyline. I still don't get why Crow is a major character. I didn't know until TFS dialogue that he killed Cayde. Or maybe I knew and forgot. Basically just tuned out. It got too soap opera-ish and complex for complexity's sake. I still do PvE content, but it has meant less to me for a long time than it used to. I don't really wonder about the world, or get too caught up in lore or anything. So maybe because of that, I started gravitating more toward PvP. Where I once preferred PvE to avoid the nonsense of other players, I now favor PvP to avoid the nonsense of the storyline. TFS is making me rethink my relationship with Destiny a bit. It's giving me some of the old feeling I had in D1, probably simply due to the nostalgia of D1 locations being prominently featured. (This is the hall in the D1 Tower where I used to jump on a box and then it looked like I was falling but I wasn't! That's where the table used to be, and Xur would often hang out over there! Oh, look, my first jumpship that I had to fight my first captain to obtain! And - what's this Crow guy doing hanging out like he's one of the Vanguard leaders? Whatever happened to the Speaker, voiced by Bill Nighy? For that matter, bring back Dinklebot!) Pardon the ramblings ... it's just nice to be reminded that at one time, I cared about this game franchise, and the world and lore, and Bungie.

Based on the number of "destiny killers" that have died I doubt it. Even if it'd be good for destiny to have some real competition.
