for sure ... i wasn't to happy about learning the the whole campaign is a strand tutorial pretty much .. after the first time doing it then doing it again on legend to unlock a rank .. i understand it .. fear of missing out .. while you do a campaign that you don't want to do again .. but they did come a long way .. before in d1 you made a character then done everything to get your light up for that week.. then made the same character again and again just to hit max light the first week ... before you could also infuse your warlock bond to you hunters cloak or any other gear into another class ..but not anymore .. its all about time in game .. if you got nothing to do in the game then you will not play the game .. so they made a change to keep you in the game and playing .. thats why the option is there for a skip .. want a skip ok silver please because we are losing out of the time you are playing the game .. again because the game went free to play .. they make money the longer you are playing .. so if they did make the campaign skippable they would be losing out on profit .. and just like a casino the house always win ..

True, just wish there was an option, you can buy strand but not stasis. I wouldn’t mind spending something reasonable to bypass but after two years of stasis being out with no way to “buy it now” it’s just kinda weird. I want to enjoy playing all characters with out sinking app of my free time into the game. There are so many other games out there. I just feel like they really don’t care sense the went “free to play”. At first it was fine now all I feel like I’m doing is the same thing over and over in the game. Nothing feels new or exciting in the game. I have spent so much money and time that it all feels like a waste. I’m not even really playing the solstice because it’s just a rehash that we have gotten for a few years now. The game it not really free if you have to spend money to play a campaign that came 2 years ago. If anything they should bring everything they got rid of. We spent money on that stuff only for it to go away. What’s to say they wouldn’t do so again?

another reason why they took the old content away was because of disk space .. also the game engine itself .. with dlc's getting bigger as the years when on ppl only have limited space on their console and the game engine running out of memory .. they had to do something ... so they free up space on their game engine by vaulting old content .. by doing this they were able to give us something we have always been asking for .... more space in the vault .. the tiger engine was forked from halo !blam engine and bungie has been using it since then .. there are limitations of the tiger engine due to it being out dated tech ..

There are games out there that are way bigger than d2. Also disk space isn’t a thing anymore because all disks do it tell the system to download the game and nothing more. D2 has roughly 150gb of data and a game similar like call of duty has 125gb minimal. The space issue wasn’t the problem people were enjoying the older stuff more than the new stuff so they got rid of it. They weren’t making as much money as they needed. The last couple of dlcs were a let down from all the hype they keep giving us. The only dlc that I haven’t herd a lot people complain about was witch queen and they didn’t even add a subclass to it.

they couldn't add in new content because of the memory issues with the game engine ... they made a twab about it in 2020 .. if you load up any area and hit a chest then go to another area the game forgets what just happen in the previous area .. because of memory .. thats why to this day you can double dip events chest and even resources .. i'm just telling you what bungie themselves said about the engine itself and its limitations .. i remember once they tried to add something and it made the game unplayable .. destiny 2 was design with only a few yrs timeline like d1 .. but stuff happens .. contracts unforeseen events and this is what we have . . an outdated engine held together with ducktape,,, and they can't change the engine now mid flight

Just because that’s their excuse doesn’t always make it true. There are a lot of games with higher gb than d2. There are at least 10 other games that are higher and one of them is ark survival. When you really care about something you change it. They changed the arms dealer strike. So why didn’t they have to sunset everything to do that?What I’m saying is that they have removed content with out properly providing compensation. Also this isn’t even what the main post was about, you seam to really love that game and that’s cool, but with their track record and excuses it won’t be too long until the vault everything to “have a fresh start”.
