There has been an uptick in emotional breakdowns on the forums after users have experienced a satirization or parody (SOP) of their posts.
This is alarming because SOP stories have a long and revered history in OffTopic. They will be here forever, because it’s apparently impossible for some of y’all to grow thicker skin, here is an exhaustive altho incomplete guide to avoiding your post becoming a SOP story.
#1 don’t post anything.
#2 if you do post be original but not offensive.
#3 if you are not original nor inoffensive, put serious thought and consideration into said post
#4 if thought and consideration is too much to ask, and your post is unoriginal and offensive, then be super bland
#5 if any of these parameters cannot be met, then atleast be long winded so people ignore your posts. If something is boring and long winded then the Satirists and parodists will not read or desire to recreate said posts. Your best hope is to post something so uninteresting, so unoriginal, so bland that all they will do is complain about the clutter.

That’s my exhaustive and incomplete guide to not being a SOP story.
If you do still get parodied, at least enjoy it.
if one of you little shits can’t be bothered to parody this then I’ll do it myself.
#8) Don’t self-censor:that’s what the -blam!--filter is for Otherwise “they” win #9) Take your inevitable ban as a good opportunity to touch grass instead of creating smurfs Otherwise “they” win #10) yes, a forum ban can be interpreted as a “badge of honor” (to the chagrin of NPCs everywhere) because -blam!- it. You be you. Plus, they’ll ban you for farting in the wrong direction anyway so why even bother? You are nothing but a number with pronouns on a spreadsheet to this company

1 ResponderYou can also just stop giving a f*ck And also parodies of posts are kinda unavoidable now, kids always gotta have that “content creator” mindset and post the worst of the worst parody posts to compensate for their zero interest in their own character so irdk why tf anyone would even care
