Ok so trials isn’t in a horrible spot, but it can definitely be made better, and one of the major issues is the insane amount of people doing vast amounts of carrying where they get 6 wins and reset. While this doesn’t ruin gameplay (except sometimes on freelance week), it does cuz an issue that the flawless pool was meant to fix.
The solution? Bring back win-based match-making but only make it active on Sunday and only after someone gets 25 plus wins.
Typically people get there flawless then bounce, leaving those who haven’t gotten it to fend against guys who should be in the flawless pool but aren’t thanks to card resetting. This can easily fix the problem and still allows carryers to carry, albeit just more difficult.
But that actually touches a different issue - trials isn’t meant to be a carry activity. 3 people with 1.0 trials KDs should be able to get flawless by the end of the weekend, but that doesn’t always happen because all it takes is 2 1.5s and a .1 team to beat them. And if the response is “well those 1.0s should get better”, then turn around and ask yourself about that .1 who shelled out $25 for the carry and continues to play like trash yet has a flawless seal.
Carrys will never go away, but we can even the playing field for people who do deserve to go flawless.
But that’s just my opinion.

Best way is to ignore it, don’t play it.

2 RespostasThe pool isn't working at all. A friend and I matched against each other even though I got a flawless this weekend and he didn't have a flawless.

4 RespostasBetter option: SBMM and change hitting Lighthouse entirely.

5 RespostasEditado por A_mo: 5/9/2022 9:20:32 PMThat sounds like a good idea. As long as its combined with the creation of a mode that's about PvP and not only about what's fair only according to the people that can't win as much as they demand that they be able to so that they can get stuff. And the reason for that is there's no way to make it so some people who wouldn't otherwise win are able to without also causing the game to do dumb stuff to movement and shot registration and turn into nothing but a calculator. Its a really pretty calculator though. I'll give them that. None of these solutions should be considered solutions unless they also admit the downsides to the solution. And one of the biggest downsides is that when some of these solutions are put into place there still has to be room for the players with the highest stats and biggest bullhorns to continue to keep having the same experience they've always been having. So what I wonder is who you think things will get worse for if things get better for the people that you're talking about things need to get better for?
