The problem is it's hard to get a team. For starters, most people who need a team have bad stats. Trying to play and get better through matchmaking, freelance, etc, is not going to give you very good stats. Most games are a crapshoot and you can end up getting destroyed which will butcher your stats. So when you try to find a team, people look at your stats and immediately don't want you on their team. It's easy to say "Trials is better with a fireteam" for all the people that have fireteams, but for those that don't, it isn't so simple. Whenever I go to the PC discord in the Trials section, it is all people looking for teammates who have X KD. It's almost impossible to find anyone to team with except for people who are so bad that you actually have a better chance winning through matchmaking. It's a weird situation. I can't find a solid team because my stats aren't good because of all the times I've tried and got destroyed. I went flawless today in freelance with OK stats, but it still won't matter. Most people will just write me off based on my overall stats. I am not sure what to do at this point except keep trying to chip away at it on my own and hope for the best.

Yes, and no. A lot of my friends play as a stack because they prefer to play with call outs, organize strategies, and no play in radio silence; and these guys are good enough to carry bad people to Flawless. There are streamers who are willing to do free carries simply because they get views, and therefore $$ from views to do so. Clans I've been apart of would get teams together to run Trials with the mentality of "if we get flawless, great, if not, we'll farm weapons and XP". Some times they get flawless, some times they don't. But I know a lot of them went from sub 1.0 k/d to 1.0+ k/d.

That's all well and good but none of that relates to the average person trying to get some Trials games in. You're talking about personal friends and clanmates.

As someone who was subpar at best, meeting friends and clanmates to help me benefitted me best. If you saw you're average, why not join a clan - maybe one that is PvP focused. Some even have entire discords dedicated to Trials only players. Finding a team isn't hard - meeting new people helps, maybe even players you've played with, or against

I am not good enough to join a pvp clan lol. Maybe next season.

Avoid the elitist ones...there are some out there that are like "we private pvp daily to help you" type of clans as well. My old clan had a sub-clan that did that, and it helps me learn that I suck solo, but when I team shoot, I appear good on paper. I would recommend them, but they've become elitist as well, and I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemies
