This post seems to be a hot take compared to the others I've seen, but I wanted to share my thoughts for my experience with the raid.
Firstly, I love this raid. This is probably one of my favorites atleast in D2 and maybe the franchise. I currently only have 3 clears of it but I can definitely say I will be running this raid every week for the foreseeable future.
The Atmosphere: Since the ending of the Red War campaign I, as well as many others, have been awfully curious about the pyramid ships. To actually be able to explore one in a raid setting was breathtaking, especially in the first 48 hours. Each encounter and the space between is seems to be relatively unique in terms of layout and feel. It really feels like you're fighting your way through the heart of the ship.
The Mechanics: I like them. As hot of a take as that may be, I don't think that it is as bad as everyone is making it seem. I was nervous at first but just like anything all it takes is practice. Once I gave it a few runs I found it relatively easy to understand what my team was trying to communicate to me. As long as you have clear communication this raid is very doable for the average player. The encounters are fun in their own unique way while using the same overarching mechanic, the symbols. Rhulk is probably my favorite boss in the franchise. He actually feels like a boss while having to weave in damage between his attacks. He's not stagnant like Sanctified Mind, Atraks, or Atheon.
The Drops: Not much to say here. I think the weapons have some extremely good perk rolls and look pretty neat. The armor, however, looks terrible imo. I think the titan helm looks nifty but that's about it.
TLDR: I love the raid. Beautiful area, good mechanics, fairly good drops. Good job Bungie.
The raid exotic is a joke it should have been the Raid Glaive

I’m glad it’s not an exotic glaive as the current exotic glaives are straight up garbage
I’m glad it’s not an exotic glaive as the current exotic glaives are straight up garbage
Clearly you haven’t a clue on what it would do, many people think it would have been cool if it had a charge up melee that let you dash like Rhulk does in the raid and preform a charge shot and fire his darkness blast (which deals solar damage which could fit with the glaive since its solar) Ngl the Exotic Glaives have more useful scenarios then the raid exotic since atleast you can use whatever subclass you want with the exotic glaives

It wouldn’t matter what it did as the charge mechanics for glaives is what truly holds them back. Doesn’t matter how strong of an effect it has if the way to even activate the exotic perk is so unwieldy. Bungie needs to essentially rework exotic glaives from the ground up as right now they suck.

Thats not a charge, charge as in what you do for a fusion rifle the game has that capability and theres a thing called cooldowns. Your so blinded by how much you dislike glaives you cant see how good they are (I literally yse engima the entire legendary campaign on all 3 characters and it was the weapon i had the most kills with and is now level 91) Why do you keep defaulting to how the Edges work? Obviously a raid glaive separate from that trio would work differently

No I don’t mean the shield meter I specifically mean the CHARGE meter. You need to hit with your ranged attack 6 times to max out your charge which then allows you to use the exotic perk, blocking at anytime drains this charge and you need to hit enemies again. With how many reserves the glaives have you’ve only have enough to use the exotic perk 3-4 times and that’s if you have a 100% hit rate and never block I love using the glaive when did I say I didn’t? I’m saying the exotic glaives specifically are terrible because of how you need to activate the exotic perk itself, The raid one might have been different but we would never know. Hence I’m just going off with what we’ve seen on the current exotics
