How this surprises anyone actually surprises me. This is Bungie. The same Bungie that threw Joe Staten under the bus and gave Luke Smith credit for his creation. The same Bungie that released Destiny 1 and has been half assing this game ever since - with the exception of lately but I doubt that was a decision made in good faith by management.
The same Bungie that decided Destiny was going to die and Luke’s new game would take its place, until it didn’t. Now they need us. Now they want to make things right.
Maybe they should give Veterans an emblem? That would be a good place to start. Now I see the debacle they’re facing. They ninjas banned me on Veterans Day and I’m a -blam!- veteran. This company isn’t about inclusion!
It’s full of -blam!-. They’re doing a pr stunt. Nothing more.

It's also the same Bungie that is STILL throwing Marty under several busses.

Way out in left field with the veteran thing. Demanding recognition soils the service we’ve done and gives us all a bad rep. You don’t deserve a discount at Home Depot because you did a 3 year enlistment in Tampa watching drone footage of farmers in Afghanistan walk their goats around. Just display your 9-line sticker on the back of your desert tan Tacoma, wear your grunt style T shirt, work on that sweet operator beard, and stop asking people to treat you any different than a normal citizen. A DD214 doesn’t make you better than anyone else, even if the VA does give you disability pay because you were too cool to wear ear-pro on the range.
-
The VA give disability pay? Have you ever even dealt with those -blam!-?
-
Editado por Animal Mother: 12/13/2021 10:21:40 PMDude, it’s a system. They do pay but you gotta have it in your medical record - or - prove it’s caused by something in your medical record. All those people who said don’t go to the doc when you get hurt we’re full of it.
-
You’re a -blam!- bro.. what even makes you think I joined post 9/11? Or that I’ve ever been to Tampa? I was in Port Hueneme if that clarifies anything for you. I did 3 deployments and my enlistment certainly wasn’t 3 years! It was more like 8, 5 active 3 inactive.

So instead of Tampa sitting in a chair you were.. guessing here… a Seabee? Much respect for that. But seriously, the attitude that anyone needs to tip their hat to you because you did one enlistment and tooled around in the reserves for 3 year is just silly. Veterans day is just a day, and I don’t think you truly care about it other than you didn’t like the transgender support message that came up. You don’t represent us all.
-
Editado por Animal Mother: 12/13/2021 10:19:33 PMAgain, you’re a -blam!-.. my only problem with the Veterans Day debacle was how the ninjas handled all the posts. When I served my service was for everyone including lgbt people. And the “us” thing came up again. I don’t know who “you” are or who all your people are but I do still rep the Navy. In fact I work for them as a DOD civilian, doing the same -blam!- I did in the Seabees. I’m only in my early 40’s but I’ve been with the Navy in total for 17 years. I think I can speak on the subject of disrespect. Veterans Day on this forum was disrespectful. Edit-If you don’t understand the difference between demanding attention and being denied due respect I can’t help you bud. 51 other weeks they could have voiced their support for the lgbt community. Why do it Veterans Day? And why ban people from the forum who disagree?
-
I’ve been in the Navy for 19 years. But that doesn’t matter. You don’t represent anyone but yourself, and you’re aren’t due any more respect than anyone else. You need to earn it. And simply putting on the uniform for a few years doesn’t automatically mean you’re going to get respect. The way you’re talking to me, for example, speaks volumes about how much respect you should be given. And you don’t represent us, because we don’t walk around society demanding to be respected or thanked for our service. If that’s why you do what you do for the military, your heart is in the wrong place.

Editado por Animal Mother: 12/14/2021 2:27:34 AMI got out of the Navy because of too many chiefs and not enough Indians. I’d say the same scenario still exist today, the only difference is - I’m still a blue collar guy but I have a union, something enlisted guys don’t get. Not all of us like kissing -blam!- dude.. my lips have been -blam!- free for 42 years in fact. I still don’t know who “you” or “us” are but I don’t have to either. I still rep Navy 110% Again, what I said was in reaction to how I was treated by the ninjas and no one.. I mean no one is going to change my mind about it. Let me be clear - I got banned that day even though I was in no way disrespectful or hateful. I dm’d a ninja asking him why I was banned and he gave me a bs answer. Just cause some PO1, or Chief, or Senior Chief, or whatever you are says otherwise doesn’t mean anything to me. Also, I voted for Brandon so if that doesn’t draw a thick enough line to get you to stand down I don’t know what will.

Editado por Animal Mother: 12/12/2021 6:05:52 AMAnd “demanding recognition” is exactly what this is about. I happened to check the forum on 11/11 and saw dozens of post about Veterans Day locked! With no reason whatsoever. I thought it was bs then and I think it’s bs now! Bungie just decided that Veterans Day didn’t mean -blam!- to them and their ninjas did their dirty work. I was appalled by it. You said “us” earlier. If you’re a vet, wether you seek recognition or not, having one day a year is fine - but disregarding the notion completely and banning anyone who disagrees is some communist -blam!- and I’m gonna have my say until they apologize or ban me again.
-
Editado por Turt: 12/12/2021 10:41:10 AM“demanding recognition is exactly what this is about” “is some communist bs” yea i think i know why so many of those posts were locked if people like you made them

Sorry to say but NO ONE that advocated for a Veterans Day recognition in game actually cared about Veterans Day. Every single year, there is almost so mention of Veterans Day on here except this year. And this year, the only difference was that they announced their message of support to transgender people on the same day. All of the posts started as hate towards transgender people and when those started getting locked and deleted, people then used Veterans Day to outpour their anger.
-
I read them. The original post had no hate. Just pointed out the poor timing and pushing of a specific group on veterans day. Some comments, sure, but they were few. However, now days just bringing it up is hate and disagreement is toxic.

I used to watch Chuck Finley pitch. Pretty badass name!
