Have been a destiny player since early D1, and I’m saddened to say that I will no longer be a part of this community. The community has changed in a way that makes interactions (especially pvp) completely unbearable. I kept playing due to my good memories with great friends and many new friends in destiny 1( one of which has passed on ) he was a good man and I’m sure he’s doing his own space magic somewhere far away right now. I’ve recently realized that this game will never be what it once was and it has not changed in good ways since. To the guardians out there who feel similar, and to the few good guardians left, I wish you the absolute best in your future endeavors. To the toxic and broken guardians who shame, and treat other guardians with disrespect (which is most of you sadly ) I wish you the best as well. Goodbye destiny and goodbye bungie.

The problem I think is that Bungie is a good company that has authentically bad customers. Some of them were this way from the word go, others were corrupted by exposure. I think that Bungie acted in good faith along the way taking actions it thought would make it's players happier but ended up listening to the most socially toxic players in the community for their direction... I'm undeiced if I'll be spending any more money on them. Every time I log in I find my self thinking "why am I putting my self through this. I played a control match earlier and it was just........ I was winning my 1v1s and even 1v2s and a few 1v3s if you believe it but there was just..... no joy in it. My victories causing the suffering of other players made me sad, having someone down me and start teabagging or emoting made me frustrated. It all just made me feel like "whats the point of it all?" and then there's pve and everything is such a grind to get anywhere or anything. and a lot of content you're basically blocked from if you don't have the time or a heavily invested team.... And on that. The argument "go find other friends to play with". If the game that is designed to be played with friends demands you abandon your friends and find new ones to play it the game has made bad decisions. And they keep taking your gear from you time after time instead of just focusing on the problem equipment............ It's just.... why. Why keep going.

1 ResponderI stopped playing destiny some months ago and I agree with you

2 RespostasI'm sorry for the loss of your friend. But, if I may be candid, many people who create these "quitting Destiny" posts often come back by the next weekly reset if not sooner.

2 RespostasNot all guardians are toxic and broken. But I do agree the guardians of today are far from those we had back in Destiny. Today's are full of hatred and feel they are entitled to everything without putting in any effort. I have no idea how or why they have changed. I wish you well, but you could still play just ignore and try and rise above them.
