The problem they had was is that you dont have a choice. They decided to make the “lab” the main trials mode this week. A very stupid change
-
I think your missing the point. They are trying different settings and modes and other things to find a sweet spot where trials can feel fresh and fun, rewarding, and also a challenge. The main reason aside from the fact that trials was dieing because of always playing sweatlords was that trials can get stale. They need information and if you allow people the choice of normal trials or a lab trials it splits the player base and doesn't give them accurate information. If they wanted to see which mode was more popular, then yes I agree there should have been a choice, but this is mainly for bungies own science.

No thats not even a reason trials was dying. Its not even close, the reason it was dying was because there is no incentive. Its the same reason comp is dead, the flawless rewards are a single high level upgrade material and a adept, the adpet has random rolls which is a issue. The adept guns have WAY too many bad roll possibilities compared to the extremely small good and above rolls, not only that there is no PvE god rolls on these so why would PvE players go for these? And why would PvP players spend a hour to reach flawless for a small chance at a good gun, and the only way to get more adepts is running a flawless card and you have a small chance at another adept. Its all about rewards and incentives, D1 Trials thrived because it had these incentives. You knew as a PvE or PvP player if you went flawless you were getting a god roll for your favorite side and if you wanted really good cosmetics you would play past 9 wins (you can get a lose its fine) and have a chance at tons of cosmetic items. And if you wanted random roll trials gun you would farm (just play it) trials and get them there. Bungie is assuming random rolled guns will make the mode survive and that by making the adept rolls super rare to get that people will stay at flawless to get them. And they wont.

Editado por The_Real_Schmidty: 9/25/2021 12:13:47 AMI think your skipping over the fact that all these changes and tests are see what is good and what helps stabilize the population of trials. Seeing as most likely we will receive a new loot pool in witch queen (I'm assuming).. going forward they need to know what works and what doesn't #freethetitties

And that “new” loot pool wont change anything, im assuming you read up to where i said incentives and went no further because its more then skin deep. As well this is Bungies attempt at making trials more like Comp. Comp was a mode where it had exclusive weapons that required skill to get, and eventually Bungie made more and more changes diluting the pool until you have what you have now. A playlist with the same loot pool as QP just a differently named leveling system. Trials elimination was fine as is, the fact they didnt learn from the backlash when Comps mode where changed are kinda showing how much they respond to feeback. Bungie is blind to how PvP works, remember trials was originally going to allow artifact level to make a difference and even showed a Hunter surviving a dawnblade hit in the trailer. They couldn’t understand why people were upset. Changing the mode will do nothing, and simply adding in Y3 D1 trials gear wont solve anything. The entire loot structure of Trials needs to change, as there is no incentive for PvE players to play other then to get the gear they lack.

I think u think that I said it can never be the way it was. That isn't the case Bungie is trying to see if other modes/ideas work and every little sh*t with a phone feels it is their right to nonstop complain. And frankly I'm quite sick of it. When did whining and crying become the new norm. Surely people aren't so dense that they think this is normal. O that's right millenials or gen z or whatever but it is frankly tiring and I just want to see where Bungie takes the mode. It can honestly only help, because let's be honest PvP in l this game is 9/10 a crap shoot. Forgive them for trying to make the mode more enjoyable for the masses.
-
So you decided that instead of addressing what i said you will just say im complaining, its called criticism and changing elimination to control wont save the mode or make it fun for anyone. This weekend proves that
-
Also it's been half a day
-
Well what do you see on the fourms today
-
Cool, tons of people are still doing trials today. As well they did this with comp and it was poorly received
