Yes but a 0.5 player isn't gonna improve when they play a 4.0 player the gap is too large. It leads to frustration and ultimately not playing. And to that Point a 4.0 player doesn't always wanna play a 0.5 player because it provides no challenge.
Sure u could say sbmm means u can never have a game off, but for newer players looking to improve that means more of an opportunity to learn and improve.
I like the idea of sbmm for a freelance playlist, simply for the fact that u don't have to deal with stacks and you would play more players around ur potential skill level.
Leave cbmm for party play.

That’s like trying to learn how to swim from a toddler who is floating around in 2 inches of water in a bathtub.
