Alignment throws his shield configuration to block the sword and prevent it from hitting the ground. He then uses the hilt of his sword configuration to try and knock the cultist out.

-
As the sword collides woth the shield, the shockwave goes off, but sooner than the cultist expected, sending him flying back as well. He crashes into Aaron, who was still invisible. Aaron pushed him back in your direction, and you slame your hilt into hos head, knocking him out cold. This left only the one who was on the ground, legs wounded. He’d bleed out if you left him as is, but he still had his gun aimed at you, though his aim was shaky from the blood loss.
-
Alignment gently turns the weapon away from him. Alignment: “Defiant till the end, eh? I’m sure your idols would be proud. This might hurt a bit.” He uses his strings to make temporary stitches, picking him up to make sure they stay. Alignment: “Let’s go back up and deliver these guys to SAYU, Aaron.”
-
The man drops his gun as you begin to stitch up the wound, letting out a yell of pain, calling you all sorts of nasty things as he does. Aaron removes the invisibility cloak, and hands it back to you. His metal skin turns back to flesh. “Yeah, okay..” He said, with a grunt of pain in his voice, as he moved over to one of the unconscious cultists, and picked him up.
-
He begins walking back to the surface. Alignment: “What were you doing down here, anyway?”
-
“When you wander around as much as I do, you see lots of different kinds of people. I’ve seen this Venus lady’s type before. She’s got lots of pretty words, and big promises, but you can’t take people like that at face value; they’ve always got an ulterior motive. Not that she was very shy about what it was. This is obviously a power move. Anyway, I called the cultist guys out on it, and they dragged me down here. Pretty sure they wanted to kill me, but I’m nothing if not resilient.”
-
Alignment: “Then you and I aren’t that different. How do those metal powers work, anyway? Were they inherited?”
-
“Maybe? I’ve had them as long as I can remember, but I never knew my parents, so no idea if it came from them. I don’t usually have to use it for anything but a party trick, but it does help when someone’s trying to mug me, or when some freaky cultists kidnap me.”
-
Alignment: “You should practice with it more. You never know when it could come in handy.”
-
“I dunno, I don’t really think I need practice, do I? Pretty simple on/off type of deal. Not sure how I could practice with that.”
-
Alignment: “You’d be surprised. When I received my powers, I thought that there was only one way I could use it. But, over time, that one single method branched out. Now I know how to use it in multiple different ways. I’m pretty sure you could do the same if you try hard enough.”
-
You reach the end of the tunnel, and SAYU’s already waiting by with some security drones, that catch the cultists in some gravity generators, and carry them off. Aaron shrugs. “I’m not really the super hero type. I kinda just wander around from place to place. Not really sure how my powers could benefit me much there.”
-
Alignment: “I’m not saying become a superhero. I’m only suggesting that you experiment a bit. It would be a waste to barely use a gift that only you have. Anyways, I’m going to the restaurant through the tunnels. Try not to get into trouble again.” He heads through the tunnels on the way to Le Restaurant.
-
“Don’t worry!” SAYU said. “I’ll keep him safe!” You make your way to Le Restaurant, though the exit seems to be jammed on the far side. After a few tries it flies open, snapping through several thick vines that were covering it. Le Restaurant was a mess; not only have vines grown over almost every inch of it like SAYU-Mart, but the tables amd chairs have been thrown aside, and the windows near the serving counter had been shattered. There weren’t any cultists nearby; the place looked totally abandoned.
-
Alignment: “Time to do some weeding.” He looks for the bleach he ordered and tries to splash it on the vines to prevent any monsters from appearing.
-
You begin making your way to the kitchen, where SAYU said she put the bleach, but then the vines shifted beneath your feet. It wasn’t a monster, but rather it formed a table, and chair, with a vine replica of Aubrey sitting in it. She twirled a wine glass in her hand, though all the was in it was water. “Going to loot the kitchens, are we? I’m afraid you’ve already beem beat to the punch.”
-
Alignment: “Aubrey, buddy! I really should’ve known that the kitchen would be one of your first targets.”
-
“Well, aren’t you hilarious. I suppose you aren’t wrong, though. I will hand it to Aifos, he does know how to choose a good chef; none of mine have compared so far.”
-
Alignment: “Well now I’m regretting not getting anything while I was here. You just love raining on everyone’s parade, huh?”
-
“You’re the one dragging this all out so long. If you had just left me to my own devices, I’d have been done by now. You’d be on a submarine home, and everything would have gone smoothly. You, and that brat Joshua just had to stick your noses where they didn’t belong.”
-
Alignment: “Well, it’s really hard to just sit back and do nothing when you’re in an underwater space under the looming threat of murderers, cultists and plant beasts whose motives are questionable at best.”
-
“You should have just cowered in your room like a regular citizen would have. We only took up arms because we were discovered. If you had stayed out of it, our kills would have been swift, quiet, and precise. But, I suppose you just can’t suppress that ‘hero’s instinct’ can you? Well, either that or you’re expecting some fortune from Kokonoe once you finish the job. I understand that one.”
-
Alignment: “Don’t be silly. I’m not one of your comic book characters. I only intervened so I’d be sure that there would be no murderer on the loose when I get home. I’m sure you’d do the same.”
-
“Frankly, no, I wouldn’t. It’s not my job to hunt down every criminal that crosses my path; I’d have left it to the authorities. Though I suppose that mindset hasn’t served me all that well, hm?
-
Alignment: “It doesn’t seem like it. Without me or the other ‘superheroes’, the authorities wouldn’t have accomplished enough in time. Never have faith in people you barely know.”
-
“Well, you do have some sense in you it seems. It’s true, there are very few people in this world who you should ever rely on. To be fair, though, Kokonoe might have had this whole situation under control by now if she didn’t have to keep dancing around Aifos’ regulations. He’s truly hopeless, isn’t he?” She laughed to herself.
