Where do I begin...
Campaign Story
-Same old 1 dimensional Destiny story lines, new bad guy arrived, kill bad guy.
-Same old terrible dialogue and cutscenes that feel like trailers.
-Filled with Corny one liners and Cliche’s like “the line between light and dark is so very thin”
-the stranger really didn’t explain anything, nothing was explained in fact.
-What was that? Like 3-4 hours??!?
-Artificially extended play time by making you go from Variks, back to the tower, back to the stranger, sparrow across Europa.... do busy work
-Stasis is kinda cool I guess... it also completely breaks PVP, getting frozen is guaranteed death.
-We fight the fifth version of fallen re-skins in 6 years LMFAO. Woulda thought with all the new architecture of the triangles it would be the right time to introduce a new alien race... NOPEEE
Europa + cosmodrome
-Another barren wasteland with nothing to do in it. Feels like d1 mars but with snow and even more dead.
-No fast travel point on the north side to artificiality inflate your playtime
-Cosmodrome is back LMFAO more rehashed content what’s new
Sunsetting
At first I wasn’t opposed to this, just like the power cap on pre-ttk weapons. That was, IF THEY ACTUALLY PUT NEW GUNS IN THE GAME.
-there’s barely any new weapons, and plenty are still reskins. In the past September expansions we had new armour and weapon sets for every single activity (crucible, vanguard, raid, trials, iron banner, gambit, strike specific, hell even factions in d1)
-they power capped guns which people grinded hours for a god roll, and now they start dropping again with uncapped versions?!??!? Biggest slap in the face by bungie ever.
Overall lack of content
-1 new strike, (sorry, D1 strikes doesn’t count), 7 vaulted
-NO new crucible maps, 11 vaulted
-NO new crucible modes, a bunch removed
-NO WORLD LOOT POOL REFRESH
-1 raid but at the cost OF 5. FIVE. Cinco.
Not only is there the smallest loot pool of all time, there’s also the smallest amount of variety within crucible maps, strikes, raids, gambit, modes, planets EVER.
Overall, this is the single greatest ripoff bungie has ever made for 50$. On top of that, they are still selling forsaken and shadowkeep to scam newcomers who will be spending money on stuff that literally does not exist in the game anymore.
TLDR: for a whopping 50$, you get
one raid
one planet
one strike
no new loot pool
And you lose
4 planets
5 raids
7 strikes
11 crucible maps
All the weapons you worked for
A somewhat fun PVP game free of broken stasis

I would like to make an apology to Bungie. I based my response after only completing some of the story for BL and then going into the Cosmodrome and expecting everything. Yes I've now researched the Cosmodrome and see what they say they plan to do with it. So far I like BL and hope they continue to bring back more Destiny felling content. I can't remember what I played but it had Zavala talking during a loading screen in destiny 2! But please Bungie keep up the good work. I'm sorry I got so mad and made a public statement saying this games DLC is bad. All I can request RN is more weapon ornament's and cool shader's like glowhoo. Hint Hint!!!! Please??

People need to stop preordering, no wonder companies will release such shit and think that its fine, its fking not.

130 RespostasEditado por Wes: 11/17/2020 9:06:25 PM1. It wasn't "new bad guy kill bad guy." It was "New guys with new powers attempt to bring war to the Traveler." It also gave us a good look at the Darkness and what it does to people, which is 100% going to play a role later. 2. The Stranger has answered more questions than ever before. Her time line, what happened to her and her sister, Clovis and the Darkness, hints at the raid, etc. Apparently you didn't pay attention to or didn't play that part. 3. The cutscenes are a welcome change from the walls of text we got before. And some people like "cheesy one liners." 4. 90% of the content hasn't started. Xivu Arath is literally building an army and attempting to take Oryx's spot next week. We also have more aspects and fragments to get. Your "lack of content" statement is very early. 5. Fair on the lack of strikes and PvP maps. Definitely should have been some. 6. As for loot, we got 4 amor sets, a few season pass weapons, Europa weapons, and weapons specific to core activities. Not to mention that raid gear. All of them are actually good, unique, or both. Could there be more? Sure. But there is certainly stuff to get. 7. Europa is not a "barren wasteland with nothing to do." It has puzzles, secrets, hidden events, a new public event, legendary lost sectors that give the NEW EXOTICS, etc. I m would hardly call that nothing. All this post shows me is you went in LOOKING for something to complain about, simply because half of what you said is factually false. And that just makes me wonder why you would buy it in the first place. I like to think people aren't so petty they'd spend $50 just to complain no matter the result.

3 RespostasI don’t understand what’s happened. How a developer get things so fundamentally wrong is absolutely beyond me.

12 RespostasYOU HAVE ZERO DESTINY 2 RAID CLEARS 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 YOUR POST IS INVALIDATED

7 RespostasThe cosmodrome looks worse now somehow.

Beyond Light is a BLight on the Destiny series. I'll get me coat lol!

2 RespostasFor me the biggest issue by far is there's this new content that's not bad, but really it's not that substantial and you're back to playing grinding core activities. Core activites which have just been gutted and are in a worse state than before this expansion. The few times I've gone into strikes in BL I've come out of one stike, gone into the exact same strike the next time. Why have a random list when there's so few strikes you have a really good chance to play the same one again? I mean we're years into the game and the core playlist is now smaller than ever. Bungie seems to miss that you need varied and engaging core content, then you can put shiny new content on top that funnels you into the core content.
-
What Fallen reskins ? I do not noticed that they are different from regular Fallens.
-
Especially crucibles, its full of cheaters, aimbotters now more than ever, this is frustating.
-
Man, where is Supreme Butthurt when you need him.

Totally agree. I used to feel really excited to jump into a new expansion but the continued re-hashing of old assets and content has finally started to take it's tole. At this point, you don't expect anything fresh or innovative and that's demoralising, especially at the current pricepoint. I believe D2 has come to the end of it's natural life and anything from now on is purely to buy Bungie time for what I am hoping will be D3. If not then a direct sequel, a total refresh of existing content, specifically: enemy types, planets, weapon pool and classes surely has to be addressed sooner rather than later. I understand that there has been some transition from when Activision exerted control but come on, Bungie haven't exactly done anything to really differentiate themselves.

speaking of beyond, y'all tried that beyond sausage pizza from pizza hut? shit was kinda smackin im ngl 👀👀 game sucks btw

26 RespostasThe two big ones for me: No new enemy race. Sorely overdue and really makes this DLC feel like a retread. No new maps for any game modes. Bizarre. This game is clearly dead.

Editado por MasterTahu: 11/17/2020 12:58:31 AMMy biggest complain about Beyond Light is the fact that Stasis is literally the ONLY thing that's actually new content that isn't made of reused assets, because the rest of the expansion is exactly the same trend of reusing old content, reissuing weapons and armor and literally nothing else. The whole campaign and endgame didn't even feel like new content, felt more like a mini seasonal campaign like Season of Arrivals. I don't understand why can't Bungie release a full expansion without having to recycle entire locations and enemies, such as the cosmodrome, the fallen Brigs just being reused and sh*ttier versions of a raid boss (Maybe that's why they vaulted the SOTP raid and all of the black armory content), and the new 2 strikes just featuring Navota being the same as Omnigul but with a different name and the Hydra boss from the Europa strike being a reused version of what I believe is the last boss from the EoW raid, again...

4 RespostasI stopped playing 3 seasons ago and am so glad. I still come on here just to see how things are going. I was almost convinced to buy Beyond Light, but I stopped myself after reading some of the comments on YT and on here. I still come here to read due to all the years I spent on the game. I can look back and say almost all of it was a good time. When I started losing access to people (friends of mine) that played, the game got to be a bore with the same old stuff, same this, same this, having to redo the same stuff over and over again. I just couldn't take it. I hope every Bungie dev and mgr reads your post. I've said this about a lot of posts but it seems Bungie just doesn't get the message.

you hit the thumb right on the nail this is beyond disappointing i just cancel my order since i have 14 day time window to do it. Plus its on game pass. This was a utter let down from Bungie. No new enemy race and with forsaken we got blind well like activity which was fun we got ascendant challenges which was super fun we got an awesome raid with 4 boss encounters awesome exotics awesome location dreaming city is still the best planet to me music and visuals really set the down im kinda of just down with bungie at this point

1 ResponderDamn I didn’t realize 11 crucible maps were vaulted

1 ResponderIve played this game ALOT for about 6 years now and ive always felt that i can hop in and do something fun when it was about the loot, hunting for new weapons and gear, and not about the power, until they started the seasonal model. After that shit has gone straight downwards. This is not going to hold up, i have a hard time seeing this is going to last for 3 more years. Ive gone from a pretty hardcore player where i grinded a raid maybe 70 times to a pretty mid-casual player and not even a week in the game is just a big empty space just as i feared. If I was to play like before i would have consumed this DLC in 2 days max. The amount of times Bungie has flipped the table with D2 is a damn joke. It feels like a damn gofundme project still in beta. BUT THE RESULT IS ALWAYS THE SAME???? Its just a never ending power grind with no goal and no meaning. Making a planet to drive around in circles killing vex with precision shots IS NOT CONTENT BUNGIE! Doesnt matter how pretty it is. 80€ For this is a pure ripoff. We are getting less and less for more and more. This is not the way..

2 RespostasAbysmal. Woeful campaign. Woeful post campaign missions that are rehashes of a woeful campaign. Empire hunts...woeful campaign extracts. Uninispired quests. Aspect quests are tedious and revisit the same things we've been doing over and over for years. (That Bungie consider these quests to be 'content' is an insult.) Broken PvP (no change there then, abysmal since beta). Strikes, yawn. Gambit, who'd have thought hashing together bits and bobs from two stale modes would be so bad...everyone but Bungie I guess. Loot...where is it? The then QC issues. Teleporting enemies, Gambit mote pickup back to the old days, disabled weapons, error codes, people missing paid for content and so on. I'm playing this for free and feel ripped off.
-
2 RespostasNew maps added doesn't equal content, more strikes doesn't equal content, and all those raids were mostly bloated and the only good ones stayed as it should be.
-
1 ResponderWhy does everyone complain about content vaulting? They had no choice because console destiny would not be able to run this game. Starting up this game with 13+ game worlds still active (on console) would cause my Xbox to combust at a molecular level, causing a chain reaction killing me and half the people in my neighborhood.

Editado por Shugen, Cursed to Sloth: 11/17/2020 6:15:55 AMAnd the story was great. Especially for a video game, and even more so for destiny. If you want a really good story idk what’s stopping you from loading up Netflix. Also one more thing, they didn’t even vault any maps. I still get burnout, Pacifica, javelin, and even Gambit maps like deep six

10 RespostasNope, sorry. I know it's fashionable for kids to be hateful online and despise everything even though you are talentless yourself, but it's important to recognize when something is done well. Sure, it could have been better. Sunsetting is a terrible idea. However, the DLC on the whole is very good. I'm sorry that you have diaper rash. Get some ointment and try to be brave.

BL Narrative is the best Destiny has seen. There's so much more to it that just the campaign
