Tether had got to be one of the most useless supers. Between the air hover, of center aim, animation time, activation delay, and nerfs, I literally die 9 times out of 10. Sometimes I get a trade but usually I just take one for the team to shut down a super. Titans get a grenade and melee that are more reliable than a super, and a class ability that negates it. Frankly, it's a meme at this point.

  • Facts. It gives so many warning signs saying “stay away” and if you don’t predict the path of a super or get lucky then you’re screwed. Also I hate the third person animation of it.

  • Have you tried actually strategizing with it? Instead of whining about the drawbacks, just plan around them, think ahead, anticipate the opponents actions, and place your tether smartly instead of panic-firing it, firing it at an aware enemy, or firing it at an enemy coming straight at you already. It's called Way of the Trapper. Play smart and careful, like a Trapper, and maybe you'll have some real success.

  • Not to mention that when you use it "right", it never snares anyone because of the huge red ring showing everyone to stay away from this area. Fire it early to catch a roaming Super who just turns around and kills the other half of your team instead, or fire it at the roaming Super just for him to kill you, ignore the tether, and kill the half of your team that you were supposed to be protecting. It's a good PvE super but man does it suck at its job in PvP.

  • So outplay and outsmart them. Don't fire it at the very corner, fire it just before so the aura is hidden. By the time they come around, they're just then noticing and at that point it's too late.

  • It's not even a good PvE super anymore, not since the nerfs to both the super and Orpheus. Hunters are now delegated to Celestial in PvE. The only exception is GM NFs where we can be designated revivers, in which case I still prefer bottom tree for its utility, with damage being a nice bonus. Orpheus Rigs should give Deadfall the Young Ahamkara Spine treatment. Give it an increased radius, duration, and hit points. I find it quite odd that a tether is easier to remove than a barricade, but that's just me.
