Sucks that people refuse to improve. I am already pretty solid at destiny so I can’t speak on it but in other games I play that I am pretty average at, such as CSGO R6 and apex legends, whenever someone better than me shits on me it doesn’t make me not want to play. It just makes me want to get better. It makes me want to get that good. I don’t gain anything from just playing against people perfectly equal to me in skill level all the time.
in other games I play that I am pretty average at, such as CSGO R6 and apex legends
Do you really think that games that have no PvE mode are a good comparison? Seriously, if you aren't good in a PvP-only environment and don't enjoy it, then, yeah, your only choices are quit or get better. But in a game where PvP is a very small part, but is forced on players who want to get even basic rewards (like Bright Dust, seasonal exotics, etc.), then the third option of "fix the PvP so that it works for everybody" is a far better solution.

That’s cool for you champ but most people just want or have fun in pvp. That’s like saying you have a running race against usain bolt and eventually you’ll be able to beat him. Some players are just much better than others. It’s not a matter of just practice.

It is a matter of practise. Practise, patience and trial and error. When other players are telling you to get good, they're telling you to put some time in, learn what you're doing wrong (as well as what you are getting right) and to learn to adapt to change of tactics on the fly. I don't go into PvE with crappy gear and load outs and start saying "but i just want to have fun, i'm not here to be a PvE god". Players in the crucible are not going to sit still like a raid boss while you shoot them until they're dead. And it's not always Iron Banner (which is a playlist made for PvE players to stack up and try and win through higher light levels rather than skill) so if you wanna play PvP stop being lazy and get good.

So bring back sbmm, as we get better, we move up, closer to the top. As we do worse we move down. Now there's no drive to get better. We will always face either better opposition or worse and sometimes in the same game. Cbmm doesn't always work, especially if the connection is worse now than before. XD
-
On second thought, I agree with the idea for two options. Sbmm or Cbmm. I'd be interested to see which more players choose.

PvP, by its very nature, is a competitive activity played against other people. To expect to go in there and stubbornly resist improving your game simply demonstrates a sense of entitlement that is unrealistic. It’s not hard to be a decent player in crucible, and to have fun. Not hard at all. The only players resisting this are not just bad, but they also refuse to improve.

You’re right but this message will never get through to people like that. I’ve had these discussions since the season started. It’s pointless.
Sucks that people refuse to improve
You mean it sucks that everyone isn't just like you... That's how life is and how the world works. I'm ok with you being someone who has the hunger. I'm ok with me being someone who prefers fun. .
