it makes sense if they were doing this to try to kill off kill trackers. otherwise it makes no sense. i mean lots of people say now they wont bother using upgrades. they will use whatever has power higher, stick a mod in because champion mobs need champion mod to harm them, and then rinse and repeat. even if a gun comes tier 6 with a kill tracker, its junked at season end anyway, and then back to zero if you get another with kill tracker. even exotics are capped for gods sake! you have to rebuy it from collections and upgrade the level (which btw the new exotic if it has kill tracker the count is now 0 and you start over on the kill tracker too). and since everyone is swapping armour all the time, transmog will have to be a meta visual. if that requires you to go in and retransmog each time you swap arrmour out... people wont bother at all. its just a waste of time, repeated several times a day, and people have other things to do. in fact that could be said of the changes. people have better things to do. now the reason for grinding to masterwork is gone, and the fun is now gone, many wont bother playing.

6 years and I'm done. I can't take the recycled crap content. And being forced into using weapons I don't want to use. And the never ending grind

I was on the fence about sunsetting when I thought we would get new weapons to chase, but putting a new symbol on the same weapons is a bit of an insult. Now I enjoy Destiny, but this season I've decided to just not worry about the whole level grind. Instead, I'm just going to do the season pass by running bounties with whatever guns drop and I feel like using, until I get the highest rank armor on that pass, then I'll tune it as I see fit and make it look how I want. Then I'll pick a character and level it up to the soft cap. I shan't bother masterworking my armor (maybe the one exotic I use) and I won't bother with pinnacle gear after the soft cap. The new event is OK, I like the Umbral Engram concept, the weekly time gate is the usual meh. The upshot is, it's time to play my way and if that means not doing endgame with its forced weapon choices to combat the champions so be it. It's not like I haven't run that stuff ad-nausea anyway. I am hoping that September refreshes the game as Forsaken did, but if not, I may just give up. All I can advise my fellow players is take the game in your own direction within the limits of what you can and if that isn't enjoyable anymore then move on for your own health. The game shouldn't make you anxious with FOMO, it should relax us.

Yeah i feel ya there too. I played maybe a week last season to help a friend get her recluse, then stopped again. Got back on today and couldnt even make it out of the tower, no desire to play. Especially not after what ive read on here, why would i bother wasting my time? Bungie sunsetting weapons/armor to just literally re-introduce them at a higher light level again and say "yay we stopped power creep"...no, you didn't. Why didn't you just remove all the unused legendaries, remove EVERYTHING under legendary, and replace it with new exciting gear worth chasing rather than now having 2+ versions of the exact same thing taking up game space? I bet its because the devs are lazy and do not care about this game anymore, only possible explanation. And now i read they're sunsetting content as well? So basically you wasted money from the very beginning because everything you paid for is now leaving. I better get a refund. All of this is just pure laziness and greed from bungie. There is no other explanation nor excuse. I mean button remapping?? Really?? You wasted time and resources on that when consoles (xbox for sure, not sure about PS) already have their own thing built in for doing that? That was 100% pointless and in typical bungie fashion, it broke immediately upon release because bungie doesnt play test anything they make. If i worked for bungie i would have left last year, theres no way id want my name on this filth. They say this game has up to 2023, but i dont see it happening. I see this game going exactly how Evolve did and bungie ending up like Turtle Rock Studios.

I stopped playing last season in I think the second week. Came back today to see if things are any better this season and somehow everything feels even worse. The restrictions to everything make the game feel like a chore. Everything about the weapons and armor just all feels so convoluted and far too complicated. I want to enjoy playing. The gameplay is so good yet I just can not justify spending anymore time or money on this game in its current state. I won't go into all the details of issues as others have covered it far better. I've tried to get back into it today but the whole weapon armor system just feels a mess. Too many restrictions take away from the fun which just makes the whole game experience feel frustrating and unrewarding to me.

He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.
