Ace of Spades Catalyst should give it Maverick.
And Maverick should work with Memento Mori, where getting a Precision Kill at Memento Mori x6 keeps it at x6.
For those who don’t know, Maverick was Ace of Spades’ original unique perk back in D1. The perk caused it to load a round from reserves into the mag each time you got a Precision Kill. It gave it an interesting utility in PvE because you could cause constant Firefly explosions and never have to reload just by hitting crits on trash adds.
Considering how Memento Mori goes away when stowed, making Funeral Pyre have limited utility, and considering that Maverick was the ORIGINAL Ace of Spades perk, I think it should be exchanged or ADDED ONTO Funeral Pyre.
[spoiler]Also, Memento Mori should deal Solar Damage.[/spoiler]

Slapping another one on is just unnecessary. The catalyst is about as much as the weapon should get. It doesn't need more stat boosts, and it certainly doesn't need more perks.

3 RespostasEh, it already has Outlaw built into it with a 13 round magazine, so ammo and reload is not a problem at all.

9 RespostasYeah but maverick was an absolute trash perk in d1. Why do that? You could just run triple tap firefly on a hand cannon or scout and get more damage on bigger enemies and still carry out crushing trash mobs. Not to mention things like nechrochasm were 100x better.

That's what I think as well. Because that would be a helluva lot better than 'Increase Firefly Damage'.

The fun fact is that the way Ace's Memento Mori perk was originally worded is [u]specifically for synergy Maverick[/u]: "Reloading after a kill loads the magazine with a few extra damage bullets [...]" The way the perk actually works is, after any reload, [b]including partial reloads[/b] as demonstrated by the Lucky Pants bug while it was still working early Y2, will load the gun with the six extra shots. That is: You're down to three in the mag, you shoot an enemy with a headshot and the gun reloads a single round from reserves [b]plus[/b] it loaded [five, at the time] additional rounds into the magazine that were the damage enhanced bullets. Besides it's not like it has an advantage on TTK or insane aim assist, nor when it was the top dog of Crucible did it have genuinely unfair advantages. The only real problem is that Bungie is treating a regular perk, Third Eye, as an exotic, and an exotic perk (Back Up Plan) as a regular perk. But then again, handcannons should never have been nerfed in the first place, but that's aside from the fact I'd 100% rather have Maverick than -blam!-ing Funeral Pyre.

She is the architect of her master's wakening. As long as she lives, the threat of Crota's return will haunt this world. Track her down, and exterminate every Hive that stands in your way.
