I have no idea why. I logged on fine yesterday to check the Reckoning modifiers. Today I got on to try and two man some of CoS with a friend and it says my account it banned. No email as to why. No explanation. There isn't even a email for me to message to try and find out why this happened. Didn't know where to post something like this. Destiny has been my favorite game since D1 and I never do anything that would be against ToS. My internet is good 500 mb down and 40 up. I help people all the time from Whisper Sherpas to Raid Sherpas to helping with Crucible when I can... I don't have a single clue as to why this happened. I don't know if anybody could help me out with this but I would appreciate it.
Edit: I appreciate everyone's input. Even if I don't agree with it or you are just calling me an "innocent" I have noticed several people on the forums since maintenance with similar game activity experiencing this. There are a lot of things they are working on at the moment. For me if it came out there was an issue where bans went out for false positives because of the changes they are making. I would not be mad I would understand as there are a bunch of things they are currently trying to change. IE Platform/Armor System/Cross save. I understand that this is something they say is irreversible but if there is even a 1% chance I am not alone. Or that other people are having this issue post maintenance. I want to do my part to raise awareness. Even if my account issue doesn't get fixed for myself personally. I simply don't want to see this spreading and affecting other players. Especially when the end result is a ban in a unilateral system where you can do nothing to appeal it.

3 RespostasA ban was issued for your account on June 2nd for running a program created by known cheat/hack communities specifically for the purpose of cheating in Destiny. The enforcement of this ban was delayed, however the ban itself is valid. Your ban has been reviewed and upheld.

6 RespostasSorry but it had nothing to do work maintenance. Even when there is no maintenance there are a plethora of users getting banned. There are people that post daily that their acct had been banned. The SRT detected something running while D2 was running that they felt was worthy of a ban. Your ban is not going to be reversed. Their policy is clear.

Pc is extremely risky to play destiny on. With how the game (attempts), to detect mods, it may not be able to correctly tell the difference. If you have ANY programs in the background of your computer, or some types of malware, it could more then likely wrongfully ban you. Even worse, by bungles policies, whether right or wrong, the ban is irreversible.

3 RespostasBans are manually placed on accounts following account investigation that turns up behaviour that justifies the action being taken. These investigations can be started by multiple reports of cheating or otherwise disallowed behaviour over a long time period. Alternatively, bans may be placed after the Destiny 2 app on PC detects potential cheat software and flags it, sending data to Bungie - again requiring manual confirmation for a ban to be placed. The only other way to obtain a ban is to continue to play match made PVP and gambit, following both a 2 week and 2 month restriction from those activities. In all seriousness, and with respect, Bungie has found reasonable evidence that you have broken the Destiny code of conduct in some way and been appropriately punished for it. There is no way to appeal a ban or have it overturned. Bungie does not discuss or revoke restrictions or bans. It’s possible some software on your computer may have been incorrectly perceived as potential cheat software. Did you have any modding apps open while you play, for any game?

1 ResponderAn other "innocent"! You can get banned for lots of reasons in the crucible!

1 ResponderLook I met kill first when he Sherpaed me through the leviathan raid, this dude is one of the best people on the internet I have met and he has a long fuse and he absolutely despises cheating because it makes this game that he loves so much a toxic and generally un fun place to play he is a real community person.

I don't know if anybody could help me out with this but I would appreciate it.[/quote] There are 3 types of punishments for Destiny/Bungie. Bans, Restrictions and Suspensions. LEARN THE DIFFERENCE. BANS are permanent. The message usually says: "NOT SO FAST! This account has been banned." RESTRICTIONS are temporary. The message usually says: "RESTRICTED! This account is temporarily restricted from _______." If it is your 1st RESTRICTION it's USUALLY 2 weeks. If it is your 2nd RESTRICTION it's USUALLY 2 months. RESTRICTIONS can stack on each other, usually due to the severity and frequency of multiple reports overtime. So 2 weeks AND 2 months, so to most players there won't be a 2nd splash screen and the RESTRICTION ends later than expected. RESTRICTIONS USUALLY end during the reset of that week and not the day of. Sometimes you will be given a splash screen that looks like this http://imgur.com/gallery/GpYKBGG warning you of an issue so you can fix it before a restriction is placed. In-Game Gambit/Competitive Crucible SUSPENSIONS are only 30-60mins and placed AUTOMATICALLY if you leave too many games in a short time span for ANY reason. Whether it be a ddos, error code or power outage. The message usually says: "TIME OUT! You left a ______ match before it was complete…." If you have had 2 prior RESTRICTIONS a 3rd penalty can either be a much longer RESTRICTION or a lifetime RESTRICTION from crucible and Gambit or a full on lifetime BAN. They (usually: changed as of June 28) WILL NOT respond or message you. They WILL NOT tell why a punishment was issued. They don't have to. They don't care. Loyalty. Time played. Content purchased. Gear earned. When you started. Intent. Threats. It is all irrelevant. They make the rules. We have to follow them. Break them and they penalize you. There is no course of action to appeal any punishment issued. They WILL NOT lessen or remove any punishment issued for any reason. They've had this no tolerance policy since Day 1 of D1. It won't change anytime soon. The reasons most ppl have a punishment issued to them is: For some form of cheating (ddossing). Playing with cheaters (paying for a carry, sharing account info, or staying in a lobby with a cheater for too long and benefiting from their illegal actions). Or having consistently terrible internet connection that it affects OTHERS players and not just yourself. You may be playing fine. But to others you may appear as an unkillable red-bar. For most PC tagalongs: They are banned because SOMETHING installed on your PC was viewed as a POTENTIAL threat to D2 and those are PROMPTLY BANNED. The process for BANS and RESTRICTIONS involve reports coming in from players or their flag system towards an individual. The Bungie monkey at HQ reviews it. And they decide if it was warranted or not.

20 RespostasYou stream all the time, If there was any true evidence that would result in a ban it would be there, but there isn't any reason for you to be banned and its BS. This is the kind of thing that the Players of Destiny need to rise up against.
