[i]It looks risky, especially when you take into consideration Comic Book movie/MCU fatigue, and the fact that a lot of the announced stuff won’t be going into cinemas, but instead will be exclusive to Disney + ( Disney’s new streaming service ).
Having said that, I wasn’t expecting general audiences to embrace the Guardians of the Galaxy or Black Panther, and those have turned out to 2 of MCU’s best IP’s, so maybe the likes of Eternals, Shang-Chi, and Blade will prove me wrong.
Speaking of Blade, that better be rated R. Generally speaking, I’m hoping that Marvel will mix things up tonally in Phase 4, the MCU formulae is becoming a bit stale and predictable, which is to be expected when you’ve got 20+ movies under your belt. Winter Soldier is my favorite MCU movie, and a large part of the reason why I love it so much is because it was a huge shift in tone and style ( fight choreography and cinematography ) from everything that came before it. Even to this day, it feels so different compared to rest of the MCU movies.[/i]

While I do think that mixing up some of the movies in this next phase would be beneficial to the franchise as a whole, it’s kinda nice to have a new, good, and reliable superhero movie to watch every few months with friends. They may be a bit similar in some ways, but the thing is that most of them are adaptations of comics written and illustrated by the same group of people over the years. Even if they can be alike,I still think that they’re great movies written by brilliant people. [spoiler]also, Winter Soldier was super good, but I’m just going to leave it at that because I almost never write this much in a single post 😄[/spoiler] [spoiler]baited[/spoiler]
