Edit: Now that I read this over a second time, I realized that it's pretty dumb and cliche, which I was not going for, so apologies for that. Everything felt forced, I didn't put enough emphasis on the locaton, so I apologize for this mess that I have here. I'll try my best to make the second part even better, but it might take me a while.[/spoiler] From among the stars, a smooth, silver ship crashes among the mountainous regions of a frigid world. There was no explanation to the pilots crash, for it merely happened out of pure coincidence. The pilot, however, was able to save his own life by crash landing upon the soft snow of an open valley. However, it was still a crash, and some damage befell upon the ship itself, perhaps even rendering it useless. From the remains of the destroyed ship, a man with an armored body and a floating skeletons head, which resided in a tank of green goo, emerges from the wreckage, clearly distressed at his current situation. “Schrack!! How am I ever going to fix this?!” Witnessing this event unfold, another figure decides to make his way to the wreckage and the frustrated figure. “Why hello there friend. Might I offer you any assistance?” Said the mysterious figure. “Huh? No, I don’t need any of your help. It’s not like anyone can fix this stupid thing now!” The mechanical man said. Upon closer observation, the robotic man could see that the figure that he was speaking to was a young human male, who had short brown hair, a red stylish cloak, a set of light chainmail armor that had dark silver plates on his torso, wore high grey boots, and wore stylish gauntlets that had the image of a dragon designed on the outward side. It could also be seen that he was carrying two pistols on the sides of his belt and a katana on his back, which had a strange energy to it. “Well, if you need any help, you can just follow me to the nearest ship dock.” He suggested. After a brief moment of pondering his options for survival, the figure reluctantly responded, “*Sigh*, fine, like I have a choice.” From then on, the two figures trudged along a pathway that cut around the edge of a bleak mountain-side. As they moved further, they could see the skeletal remains of armored giants, resting along the deep valleys below them. “Heh, let’s hope that there aren’t any more giants around to squash us like bugs” said the human in a joking fashion. “That was a terrible joke, you understand that right?” Retorted the inhuman figure. “...Um….sorry, usually I tell jokes as a tension breaker. By the way, since we got a while to go, we better get to know each other. My name’s Codi-” “I never asked for your name, and I certainly don’t want to befriend you. I just want to get off this frozen wasteland and go back to doing bounty missions on my own.” The figure responded in a cold tone. “Well if we’re going to survive together, I’m going to have to call you something. I mean, don’t you have a name” Said Codi. “To save myself the headache, just call me Monk.” Said Monk, frustrated at Codi’s annoyance. “That’s your actual name, right?” Asked Codi. “No, it’s not, so don’t bother asking me anything else and just shut up!” Said Monk, who was struggling to control his anger. From then on, Codi said nothing else to Monk. Though, as they trekked onwards, the weather grew more hostile. It wasn’t long before a storm had reared its ugly head towards the two travelers, and forced the wanderers to become desperate to find a shelter that could save them from the unforgiving climate. Suddenly, as if by some mere coincidence or strange magic, the travelers found themselves gazing upon a giant stone castle in the distance, standing atop the edge of a cliff made of ice shards. Codi decided to go against Monk’s wishes to remain silent, and commented, “What are the chances that there’s going to be some omniscient figure that has some special significance to how our lives are going to occur. How much do you wanna bet that we’re going to save a princess together?” “Enough with the dumb jokes already.” Grunted Monk.
