I was talking to my best friend earlier, and that made me want to make this post.
Who’s your best friend? Why are you friends? How did you guys meet?
My best friend and I live in different countries. We’d met after I saw one of his screenshots asking for body actors to be in a machinima he was making in Reach. I messaged him, and eventually we started playing together. That must have been some seven years ago. My best childhood memories were screwing around every day after school playing Halo or Red Dead or Minecraft together. I don’t know that I’ve met anyone I’ve been more in sync with. We made a damn good Doubles team, and we could work together to make maps in Forge with such a fluidity that I’ve never been able to achieve with anyone else. He’s one of the smartest people I’ve met, and knowing him has had a profound impact on the person I’ve become. Lately we’ve gotten more and more distant. I went off to college and got busy with all the work I have to do, and we don’t really own the same games as each other. He’s hit something of a rough patch, and it pains me to know there’s nothing I can really do about it. He’s like a brother to me. We talked for a bit earlier today, but neither of us knew what to say. We both lead pretty isolated lives, yet I think I got adjusted to it better than he has. I couldn’t imagine losing him as a friend. Our friendship is the most valuable thing I have.
So anyways, who’s your best pal?

I.... Shit, I guess my best friends are the citizens of OffTopic, probably... I don't have much IRL, but this one social outcast that I will talk to frequently... -blam!-.

My best friend(s) is someone I'd introduce as family. I ran away from home when I was 13. So there all people I met on the streets and fellow homeless kids. Though none of us are homeless or destitute now, where all still very close. And meet up quite often. (≧∇≦)/

My girlfriend.

Met mah boi in 6th grade. He’s nice, we both Play Desticle and rage together. He’s nice, not all that bright, but still a good guy.

Y’all live in different countries? Have you actually met in person? Anyways I met my current best friend at the end of freshman year along with what would later be my girlfriend. Initially I just thought of her simply as my girlfriend’s best friend. But as time went on I found that I really enjoyed her company. She’s just really fun to talk to and we laugh about the stupidest things. I never really had any real romantic feelings and she had none for me for the most part. So she posed no real threat to what was my current “serious relationship” at the time. We were kind of like siblings in each other’s eyes. So when my “relationship” went spiraling towards oblivion, she was always there by my side. She was the only one who truly knew what I felt and thought during that awful period of grief. It was after I had been dumped where our status as besties was solidified. Both of us felt alienated by the same girl. And it was through our mutual disdain of this girl, who was previously my girlfriend and her best friend, that we got closer. Since then we’ve been almost exclusively seen with each other, leading people to believe we were together (including my ex who was apparently furious to hear about it). There have been moments here and there where we have gotten a bit more intimate. It hasn’t really ever gone anywhere but maybe that’s ok. Things feel right the way they are.

My best friends name is Manny. I met him on the 1st day of 1st grade. That was 32 years ago. I still game and talk to him 3-4 times a week.

We met when were were 10ish. I had recently moved states and had no friends. We got to talking about Sonic games and kicked it off from there. We used to play Destiny together, that feel out and I probably won't be able to maintain a friendship with him (or anyone else from my childhood) in the next year or so due to work and other obligations.

Met my best friend a while back. He was my brother’s friend, and I had Smash Bros. (don’t remember if it was Melee or Brawl). We started playing Smash together, and eventually became friends. We’re actually pretty wildly different. Our tastes in games, movies, food.. All wildly different. Because of our differences though, we both play games that neither of us would’ve normally considered. Somtimes we find games that we love out of this, other times.. Well, let’s just say he’s not the biggest fan of Splatoon. Just about every anime I’ e ever watched was also something he dragged me along to see. I’ve found some great ones like this, like Flip Flappers, but he also made me watch SAO, so.. Ugh.. I want to get him more into fighting games, though. Need a good sparring partner!

9 RespostasEditado por Ronin: 2/25/2019 1:48:44 PMCouldn’t really pick a best friend even if I tried. I’ve moved around almost all my life (honestly, when I was a kid, it got to the point where we wouldn’t stay in the same place for more than a year and a half), so I’ve had to make lots of friends and quite a bit of best friends. However, with that being said, there is still one friend I keep up with now, even after having moved schools. He and I met about 5 years ago in middle school, and we shared the same passion: video games. I know, kind of a corny thing to have a best friend over, but trust me, he’s true as can be. I probably spent half my life talking or playing games with him. That’s not to say our friendship hasn’t undergone some serious rocking of the boat, so to speak. There was a period of time, about 4 months long, where he and I borderline hated each other. I don’t remember what our arguments were about now, and I don’t care to know, but it got so bad that his parents threatened to block me on his cell phone. Yeah. Not even kidding a little bit. But, stuff got better. We pulled through, and our friendship was stronger because of it. Now, I’ve moved schools and we can’t talk nearly as often as before, but we do try to keep up with each other. We still play some games together, and I’ve even got him still friended on Xbox Live and PSN. Edit: Actually, he also visits OffTopic sometimes and has certainly made a name for himself, if a little infamous. Don’t know if him visiting OffTopic was due to my own influence, me visiting OffTopic was his influence, or a little bit of both.

I met my best friend when I was six. My family had just moved and one of my dad's new co-workers invited us over for dinner. His son was three years older than me, and had the same birthday as me. We became friends real quick, and we still sometimes celebrate our birthday together. He lives on a farm about 20 minutes away, and we're both always busy so getting together can be tough. We mostly hang out on the weekends. He's a weird dude. He's currently making plans to build a tiny house, and wants to be a physical therapist. He also seems to know literally everything and likes to secretly "rebel" against his super strict parents. We're friends because we're equally idiotic, energetic, a little bit too spontaneous, and fueled by rage.

One of my best friends I met through another, just before Taken King dropped. We were playing Destiny and talking about Halo when he told he has a friend who's really good at Halo like me and was looking for someone to team up with and form a pretty high skill team. A few days later I add him and start chatting with him. Game 1 we play together is a complete shut out and carry and we were screwing around. The same thing kept happening all day and we kept playing together from that day on. We brought more people into our squad and were damn near uncontested. Then when we both got Xbox Ones and whdn we saw Halo 5 was trash he joined me on Destiny for ROI and forward and all other games. Kicking ass in Apex with him now. Got like 5 wins yesterday without a 3rd for full squad. Thats just one of many of some my online besties. In person I have some good friends but we haven't been able to do much as of late and others who had been good friends for years on years just disappeared on everyone so there's that I guess. Shame as one of them I knew from 1st grade going forward and we were pretty much inseparable at times.

Editado por Toonstrack: 2/25/2019 6:48:49 PMKnown him since I was like 5, can't remember the circumstances but we like the same stuff and talk all the time, now that we're older we talk about deep stuff as well as fun stuff, it's great

1 ResponderHonestly I don’t think I could pick just one. I’ve been in an pretty right friend group of 6 since 5th grade or so and we do pretty much everything together. Long boarding, coffee, and random photoshoots by a lonely streetlight. Oh well.

I don’t have one best friend, I’ve had a group of 7 since 4th grade (it used to be 8 but he moved away and every time we try and talk to him he ignores us). But we do pretty much everything together from make terrible movies (we had one called Jurassic Pork that we thought was going to be good at one point...), to jam out together (a couple of us are multi-instrumentalists), play video game, and now that we’re starting to get our drivers licenses we do monthly dinners at some restaurant. This year we’re doing group trip to Disney for Star Wars land (we’re all pretty big fans) and I’m beyond excited

I’ve got a friend who was born on the same day as me (only two hours earlier), has the same middle name as me, and I’ve know him for years. I’d probably have to chose him

Who the fück are you and what have you done with F3?
my best friend is my crush. He is very similar to me in more ways than I care to admit (minus the fact he’s straight). We met at the school’s DND session. I played a Dwarf warrior, he played an Elf Mage. He and I started to talk more and skip about 6yrs and he’s one of the few people I trust. He’s always there if I need help or need to talk about something and I’m always there for him (or at least I try to be)
