However I burnt through 12 months of content in just 3 months and levelled 3 characters to 650. In my time away from D2 I went to warframe, I loved that too. This time I burnt through 5 years of content in 12 months, I got all frames, all weapons, everything the game had to offer. I can’t blame the devs, it’s the way I game, but right now I’m absolutely sick to death with RNG and the repetitive gameplay. What got me into gaming many years ago was the sense of adventure and exploration, this “games as a service” genre is the exact opposite of that. I will be extremely cautious about buying another one of these games, especially at launch, there just won’t be enough content, at least not for me. I suppose one point I’m trying to make is D2 felt like a proper AAA game after they added 12 months of updates, the downside of being a day one player is ultimately you will pay a lot more and be starved of content for much longer that someone who starts 12 later.
