Grind light to be able to play dlc content?
Lame and tedious.
One whole year of this is going to be sad.
Edit: Nick Cannon is hilarious

15 RespostasSo you would have DLC be held back by people who had not leveled up? This is a constant progression system. Season 4 was for people to get from 400 to 600 power. Season 5 is 600-650, with content being added throughout the season. If you weren't 600 by the end of season 4, then yes, you have a bunch of grinding to do before you can partake in season 5. That's not on you, or on Bungie. It is a matter of keeping new content relevant to the highest available power level. The ONLY issue I have with the seasonal content, is a lack of vendor and gear updates. Otherwise, the idea of a steady stream of content throughout a season is EXACTLY what was promised and what should have been expected.

I think it's simply bad in that what's in it doesn't appeal to me. Part one is "horde mode", Part two is gambit, and part three is unknown. Well i don't like horde modes, never liked COD zombies, wasn't a fan of POE, To be fair escalation protocall is ok, still gonna go try and get the sub. But It's not my thing. Also i do not enjoy gambit. I got breakneck and won't touch it. I don't even want to do the one match for the powerful reward and haven't yet. I haven't done a raid since Kings Fall. Thus 2/3 of the dlc, the only part I know anything about i'm pretty certain to not like and not doing raids means so far there isn't much there to peak my interest. Add to that i was mainly a pvp guy an and there's nothing new in pvp plus pvp matchmakingis pretty back and comp is just "aarrrrrgh!" well I just can't yet see a reason to buy the season pass. For that reason i think it's a big gamble the way they've structured it and sold it. Because if you don't do those things there's little there for you. Where as i d1 there were vendor refreshes, story (not that i care much about story. I don't), new patrol areas, trials, new trials weapons, new pvp maps. Yeah that stuff that kept me more isn't there. I think the current dlc approach risks driving away players who before might have came back for a dlc or bought one individually now kinda have no reason to return.

1 ResponderYou know, I have NO PROBLEM raising my LL to get to this content, the PROBLEM is that I have to fight tooth and gods damn nail against 2 SETS OF RNG, ontop of the garbage, you can only get good loot ONCE A WEEK, to the RNG of 'will a prime engram drop' to the RNG of decrypting said engrams. Literally the past to primes I have opened have been -blam!-ing grenade launchers, my power weapon is my strongest, my other weapons and armors are lagging behind. Yet since I have NO CONTROL over what will get upgraded I sit here in the most idiotic limbo, I love playing the game but the fact that I can't get anywhere because the game can't seem to grasp what needs to be upgraded and MAYBE give you that, is what pisses me off the most.

Cross your fingers anthem is good. If it is a lot better than division was at launch maybe it’ll put destiny down forcing bungie to listen

2 RespostasThe format of drip feeding smaller but more frequent content drops isn't a bad idea, gating new content behind high light levels is.
-
What you think you can buy any game and beat it without leveling I don't think so!! So get your light level up like any other game makes you!!!!!
-
I don't think the content is bad. But the way they are delivering it is I feel. They added a huge light gap without really giving any really boost to being able to close it. I was already 600 so it wasn't really an issue for me but I know some people aren't
-
Forge got old real quick.
-
5 RespostasSo let me ask you this: Would you rather have the old content system (2 medium sized content releases, sold separately) or the current system (3 small content releases, bundled together)? I much, much prefer the former.
-
I think it's fine if they released some new strikes as well. They should have added 600 light strikes. They should have dropped first week forge to 600 and another at 615. They should have also gave players catching up a little boost by increasing the cap of powerful engrams.
-
6 RespostasOh stop it, after the initial hump it’s fine
-
Is it Bungie’s fault you need to be over-leveled to beat content or is that a personal problem?
-
Doesn't take long to acquire 605+ to do the forge.
-
2 RespostasNot dlc. Dlc will be another forsaken style drop next year
-
11 RespostasI had to gain more light to do endgame activities, it’s a strange concept, unlike any other games. I mean who thought being near max light for endgame content was a good idea??

5 RespostasTHIS IS NOT A DLC Sincerely, ENGRAGED FANBOY!
"Maaaah, MAAAAAAH, MAAAAM,......MEATLOAF! F*CK I don't know what she is doing up there"
-
7 RespostasI highly disagree. While the old way meant we got everything at once, it also lead to content droughts. Remember the drought between TK and RoI? Yea, not good. The new format means there will be less content droughts, which is better for us gamers. And before people say bungie should just make more content to prevent droughts, i'll stop you in advance. Be realistic, it takes time to create this content, and even if they had enough time to create it, it still wouldnt be enough cause people would just burn everything and ask for more.

5 RespostasThis post is missing the mandatory "This is not a DLC" answer from an enraged Bungie fan boy....this forum has never been funnier ;)
-
54 RespostasThis game will not last a year. Destiny is dead sad to say it but its true
-
While Bungie royally F'd up the first day, we shouldn't write off BA just yet. There is a fair bit more to come.
-
5 RespostasThe format is the time gated release not the insane power gating. It's too soon for us to make a proper review of the actual format but the power gating which is a separate issue entirely is total bullshit
-
I can not believe people paid extra money to Bungie.
-
Its jokes when he get cut up on his own show

20 RespostasIt's great! I just started playing again a few weeks ago and I only have about a month of grinding to do to play the content I paid for. As an added bonus, by the time I get to 620 everyone is done with the content so I get to solo all that stuff and be told to "suck it up" by people who were carried by a full team.
