Why are people this mad over 1 gun , JESUS 1 gun you either have the quest or you dont who cares you have an entire year to get the damn thing , calm down man I'm not stressed about it one bit it will drop for my team eventually I play to have fun with my friends not to get stressed out over a quest ........shit some of my friends still dont have the whisper , they don't come on the forums and start whining about it

Because you have to play a shit ton of gambit to get it. At least with whisper as long as you aren’t garbage it’s easy af to get considering it’s basically a guaranteed spawn every weekend
-
The problem is that bungo over here... Can never find the -blam!-ing middleground. They either make it as the malfeasance is now, or basically what happened to the ace quest. Same with nerfing they either nerf it into the goddamn ground or make it op as f.

Editado por Tufcat: 10/2/2018 5:03:25 AMYour comparison is donkey poo poo. The only RNG in the Whisper is the public event spawn. Sitting around doing nothing is a lot better than going through dozens of gambit matches with no sign of progress. The OP's argument was for the absurdly low spawn chance during its "peak" week.
-
As I'm sure your actually aware- people don't care about the gun at this point. Can't complain about what you don't have (can I suppose, but who cares). People are pissed at the extremely low spawn rate of the boss. The rate that will go lower. 100, 200 games and people aren't even SEEING it. That's frustrating, don't pretend it isn't or or that you have the patience of a sniper.
-
That's not what the forums say
-
You say it will one day drop for team, but that’s sorta the point of everyone’s anger, isn’t it. You have no way of knowing for sure it will. It’s RNG, which means there is a likelihood that you could grind Gambit everyday for the next year, and never once see the servitude spawn. Now with reports of Cozmo telling reddit that very soon the servitor(as well as the Wish Ender Quest) will ONLY occur during the third week of the taken cycle in the Dreaming City, the days of having access to the already abysmal drop rate are further reduced by time. That’s why everyone is “mad over one gun”
-
not to mention Y2 exotics never drop, only Y1 exotics so the only way to get one apparently is to grind for a 0.0000000000001% chance at a spawn with a 50% chance to get the quest.
-
What all these kids claiming "calm down" don't understand is there is a fine line between grinding and hoping.
-
It’s literally the same with getting weapon drops. You have to hope your drop has the rolls you want and get everyone wanted random rolls back. This is an example of a community just upset they couldn’t get something week 1. The same thing happened with Whisper of the Worm and even on the day it was bugged for several hours you still had 2 other days to do a taken blight event. That didn’t stop everyone to being salty though.
-
I think there is a little bit of a problem though... You can't deny that this shit is not stupid if i reset 5 times and didn't see it once. If u don't think thats a problem then idk what you're thinking...
-
Not at all. Its EXACTLY like drop rates for exotics from end bosses. Where as say, Atheon has a 100% uptime (being the final boss of vault of glass), the Vex Mythoclast was RNG. Here? The boss is RNG to spawn but killing him is a guaranteed drop. It literally just flips the RNG of the already established systems. It’s literally just people flipping out that they can’t get something week 1. That’s all it is. That’s all it’s ever been. The same thing happened with Whisper.
-
Not exactly. There is the competitive matchmaking to consider. Where defeating raid bosses have set mechanics that can be learned and predicted, a gambit boss might be unbeatable if the other team is better. I get your point, it's a time investment thing, but the main difference is psychological. Guaranteeing the first step (the boss spawn) makes people think "this is my chance". They experience and interact with that chance. If they don't get it they think "I had a chance to get it but it didn't happen." Making the first step rng takes that "chance" and hides it in code. There is no interaction so people don't experience it the same way. They think "I don't even get a chance to try to kill the boss before my opponents do."
-
Lol the difference is in getting a drop, then having the get a quest for said gun that only has a chance to drop.
-
If there’s a difference then why is the reaction EXACTLY THE SAME? People are just upset they can’t get something week 1. The same thing happened with Whisper and is happening now.
-
Because even then they had a chance to get whisper. They may not have had the level, but they could wait around on io and try 3-4 times. I haven't seen the malfeasance boss even once all week.
-
And it’s only week 1. You still have a chance to get it. You act like it was this week or never and that’s the issue. It’s the same result for both scenarios even though, as you stated, Whisper was conditional on you not sucking absolute ass in the dungeon. It didn’t stop people from complaining about how they didn’t get it week 1.
-
Lol even though the drop rate is being lowered for the next 2 weeks?
-
Yes? Just like Whisper of the Worm was literally unobtainable for 4 days of the week. Considering this boss doesn’t even start spawning until the curse hit level 3 you’re lucky it even spawns at all after this week. Just like Wishender won’t be obtainable for 3 more weeks when the curse opens the portal again.
-
random rolls are quests? this is news to me.
-
Random things are random. With the quest you only have to get it once and you’re fine so it’s offset by the drop rate. With weapons you go through two layers of RNG which is why you’ll get the same weapon you want several times but never with the rolls you want. Both are RNG. The community just picks and chooses which to complain about at any given time.
-
absolutely delusional, both being RNG at the core doesn't make them the same system. Get a clue and stop complaining yourself bud LOL
-
Editado por Andrenden: 10/3/2018 6:13:52 AMTell me how it’s not exactly the same? You just admitted that both are RNG at the core. It’s the same system for getting the drop. It’s the exact same method of grinding. You’re not even complaining about the quest itself.
-
right below me, r e a d.

The one that just mentions the competitive match making? That doesn’t change anything. It’s exactly the same as if you’ve succeeded or failed at killing a boss. Even if the boss was there every single time with a rare drop rate you’d still have to get the kill to roll the dice, only to find out it’s not happening this time or even the next 50 times. He actually agreed a with the whole concept but feels that people are freaking out because they don’t have that illusion that they have better chances. Seeing a boss every time and having a .01% chance of a drop would be better than having even a 1% chance to see a boss but a 100% chance of the drop. It’s psychological like he said. Every time you kill the guaranteed boss you’ll think “I have a chance!” Even though that chance is worse. But maybe you just try and reference someone else’s post without truly understanding what they said. It doesn’t change anything and is still the same system. You, and many others, are just tricked to feel that way as the other guy noted. It’s psychology, but that’s all it is.
